“Definitely in a good way.” Lee gave her a lazy smile and leaned his head into hers. “That was payback for all the times you tortured me before.”
“Mmmm, well, I’ll have to do something to make you pay me back like that again.” She listened to his soft chuckle as he pulled her head to his chest.
“I love you, my sweet fairy.”
Reiya closed her eyes and smiled. “I love you, my Lee.” She snuggled deeper into his chest, letting the euphoric exhaustion sweep over her body. She fell into a deep sleep in the arms of her mate, wrapped in a cocoon of his body heat. She had never felt so safe. Or so incredibly loved.
Chapter 88 Brunch with a Bunch
Reiya watched him sleeping soundly in the morning light. She was still wrapped in his gentle, possessive embrace thatkept her completely warm even without clothes on. She proudly admired the mark she had placed on his neck. She was brazen enough to mark a deity. But it didn’t feel like that to her. It just felt like she was claiming what was hers ... what had been destined to be hers.
His face was so serene and adorable as he slept. A soft smile formed on her mouth. How could people be afraid of her sweet Lee? He was always so attentive and loving with her. She felt so content just to lay there and stare at him. His face was so perfect. His lips were pressed together and almost looked to have a small smile on them while he slept. She focused on his lips, remembering how they felt on her last night and how special last night had been for both of them.
No longer able to resist the temptation, she raised her head and brushed her lips against his, feeling the heat and sparks immediately. She could also feel him kissing her back. His arms moved to hoist her body higher up, and suddenly he was the one in control of the situation. As he shifted his weight onto her, he slowly dipped his tongue into her mouth, slowly massaging hers. She moaned softly, and he answered her with a low sound of his own.
When he pulled away, her eyes flickered open to meet his soft blue gaze. “Now that is something I want to wake up to every morning.” He then eyed her nude body and smiled. “All of this.”
“Mmm, me too. Except you’re the one who usually wakes up before me.” Reiya smiled and traced his bottom lip with her fingertips. They both had their heads laying on the same pillow and were staring into each other’s eyes, reflecting the same passion and devotion. “I love you, Lee.”
“I love you, my sweet fairy.” He kissed her fingers, a small smile playing on his lips. “You want to get a shower with me?”
“Are we only going to shower?” she asked him with a wry smile.
“Probably not. Is that a problem?”
Reiya giggled and rolled out of the bed. “I get the hot water first!” she squealed and took off toward the bathroom.
Lee chuckled and sat up, staring after her as she disappeared into the bathroom. He let out a small sigh. He hoped everything would go smoothly today. The other deities surely already knew about him and Reiya. He was now an important part of the fairy circle as their future fairy prince. He would also be the father of the next fairy princess. His thoughts changed direction, and he now wondered what their children would be like. He’d never dreamed that he would ever be a father. Now that he had Reiya, he thought about it often. He was going to have a family. Their children would no doubt be powerful. They wouldn’t be deities but demigods. The next fairy princess would be part fairy, a demigod, and he wasn’t sure what animal would be retained. Maybe even both. That would be amazing ... to have the ability to shift into a dragon or a wolf.
He stood up from the bed and smiled as he listened to the shower running in the bathroom. His little fairy might have jumped into the water first, but they would both be sharing that water soon. He didn’t plan to keep much space between them.
He strode into the shower, a smirk resting on his lips. “Alright, princess. You ready for some punishment?”
Reiya helped Lee button up his shirt. Their shower encounter was in no way punishment for her. It was like an amazing reward. He was always very considerate of her, always taking care of her needs. She felt like she was the one who got the better end of the deal being mated to Lee. How he could feel that it wasthe other way around made no sense to her. She could feel how much he adored her, though, and she felt the same way about him.
“I’m digging my new neck tattoo.” Lee winked down at her as he looked at it again in the mirror. “One of my favorite moments thus far in my life is receiving your mark.”
“More than marking me?”
“Oh yes, definitely more than marking you. Having you claim me is a playback reel moment.” She placed her hands on his chest and gazed upward at him. “You promise you’re coming back to me?”
“Baby, if they were going to lock me up, they would have come and done it already. This is just a mere formality.” He kissed the tip of her nose and rested his hands around her back. “What’s on the agenda tonight?”
“Tonight, we are playing charades. Then tomorrow, you’re taking me to see Hunter and Chasen.” She smiled up at him and he chuckled down at her.
“Okay baby. That’s what we’ll do.” He tilted her chin upward and brushed his lips over hers, taking her in slowly and sensually, dipping his tongue into her mouth and holding her head in place so tenderly. He sucked on her bottom lip last as he pulled away from her. “I‘m never going to get tired of tasting you.”
“You better not.” Reiya scrunched her face up at him and smiled, biting her bottom lip.
“I love you, my fairy. I’ll be back tonight.” He sweetly kissed her once more and then vanished, keeping his eyes on hers until he was gone.
Reiya sighed and held her small fist over her chest. She was nervous about him leaving. She felt like she needed to keep him safe now.
Don’t worry, Reiya. Everything is going to be fine.Lumi could feel Reiya’s uneasiness and tried to reassure her.

Reiya smiled and opened the door. She walked out and was surprised to see Xander and Lila sitting on the couch, along with Chelsie and Brody, who were sitting across from them.
