“Probably for the best. Do you know where they’re going for school?” Keira asks. “Or where you’re going for school?”

I bite my lip. “Hawk’s going to Columbia. Cam wants to go the Crowne Mawr. Damon wants a good hockey program, so aD1. And I’m going wherever I can get the most contacts in the industry and can afford.”

“This glow up doesn’t include a college fund?” Keira arches an eyebrow.

I shake my head. “My mom isn’t married to Adam, and I wouldn’t expect him to pay for my college even if they were.”

“You’ll get a scholarship pretty much anywhere you apply, anyway.” Keira blows out a breath.

“Hopefully.” I don’t want to ask if Olivia has reached out about what Hawk told her to do. Since the guys released the video anyway, is giving Keira college money null and void now? “Do you want to see the entertainment room? It has a huge TV and surround sound.”

Keira’s eyes light up. “Yes, please.”

Chapter 43

Cam

“How was dinner, goody?”

She looks up from her laptop. “What?”

We’re in the family room, studying. I wish we were in my bedroom doing other things, but she insisted we needed to study during study time.

“Wednesdays are family dinner, yeah?” I lean back in my chair. If I read one more paragraph, my brain is going to explode.

She’s got on jeans and a sweatshirt. Her hair is in one of those messy buns.

“Yeah.” She bites her lip. “It actually wasn’t bad. Damon even managed to behave.”

“Is it weird?” I ask, tapping my pen on the notebook.

She narrows her eyes on me. “Is what weird?”

“I don’t know, being in a relationship and hiding it from your parents.” I shrug.

“Cam, what’s going on?”

I’ve barely seen her this week, and we’re freaking studying. But I can’t say that, because that’s what she wants to do.

She shuts the lid on her laptop, and her blue eyes meet mine. “Why don’t I ride with you?”

“What?”

“You were the first one to offer me a ride on your motorcycle, but I’ve only ridden with Damon and Hawk.” She sits back with her hands in her lap. “Is there a reason?”

“Besides, those two being obsessive bastards?” I smirk.

That gets a smile out of her. Fuck, I want to make her smile more.

“We can fix that.” I stand. “Come on, goody. Let’s go for a ride.”

She glances at her work and then shrugs. Taking her hand, I pull her up, and we head outside. She grabs her helmet on the way. Damon dropped her off earlier.

I help her put it on and then put on my own. “You tell me if I need to slow down.”

She nods, and I get on my bike. She straddles the bike behind me and tucks in nice and close. Her arms wrap around me. Why haven’t we done this before?

Because those dicks are possessive assholes who don’t like to share.
