I huffed out a soft laugh, opening my messages. Before responding, I changed the name in my contacts to Tucker. Mikey would have been too obvious if anyone got ahold of my phone, and despite our fake-dating arrangement, I wasn’t in a rush to have to explain to Natalie why I was in Mikey Tucker’s bed. She knew his reputation better than I did and would almost certainly consider hooking up with him a regrettable decision.

After brushing my teeth and pulling my hair up into a messy bun, I typed out a quick text to Mikey, so he wouldn’t think I was ignoring him.

My phone buzzed again, but I didn’t check it as I put it on the nightstand and crawled under the covers, succumbing to slumber almost immediately.
