Welcome back to After Dark. Sitting in the chair next to me, we have the talented, and may I say elusive, Tristan Tate.

(Applause and catcalls from the audience)

Jesse Jermaine

Tristan, I see you haven’t lost your touch with the women in my audience.

(Whoos and whistles)

Tristan Tate

And I hope I never do. My fans, the people who pay to watch my movies, they’re the reason why I’m here today.

(Aww)

Jesse Jermaine

Humble as always. So, Tristan, despite the best efforts of my staff, it’s been quite a while since you’ve sat in that chair. Is there any particular reason why you’ve been dodging our calls?

Tristan Tate

As you know, I’ve been lying low, staying out of the tabloids.

(Laughter)

Tristan Tate

In all seriousness, though, I’ve been working on myself. A lot has happened in my life, most of it not at all transpiring how it’s been portrayed. And, you know, I’ve had to do a lot of soul-searching out of the glare of the spotlight. But I’m in a good place now—yeah, I’ve been in a really good place.

(Applause)

Jesse Jermaine

That’s great to hear, Tristan. You know I’ve been rooting for you.

Tristan Tate

Thank you. I appreciate that.

Jesse Jermaine

You’re in such a good place now that you’ve decided to return to the entertainment world, but not in the way we would have expected. As I’m sure everyone here knows, you’ll bestarring in the next season of Heart to Heart, airing at the end of the month.

(Cheers)

Tristan Tate

Wow, I wasn’t sure whether anyone knew that. There hasn’t been any publicity or anything.

(Laughter)

Jesse Jermaine

I’ve heard there have been an insane number of entries for this season.

Tristan Tate

That’s what I’ve heard.
