“Yeah? Not laughing, huh? Well, how about now?” Reaching out, I tickle her waist.
“Oh!” Laughing, she squirms up and down in her seat.
Reaching around, I tickle both sides of her waist at once. “How about now?”
She’s laughing so hard her eyes close and her mouth opens. Laughing along with her, I get caught up in the moment.
“All right… Seth… I-I give—” she mutters between breaths.
Immediately, I release her.
“Oh, my goodness.” Sitting back in her seat, she’s wearing a huge smile and it makes me grin along with her. “I never knew I was ticklish.”
“Excuse me? You didn’t know if you were ticklish? How is that possible? You’ve never been tickled?”
“No.” She knits her brows together. “Thinking of it now, I’ve never had anyone tickle me. Huh. That’s kind of sad.” Her face becomes determined again. “Well, I guess it’s just a night of firsts.”
“I guess. So, ready for your tattoo?”
“Yes.”
“Okay. Give me five minutes to go tell the guys I’m taking off, and then I have to let Tracy know I’m not coming back.”
Nodding, she glances out the front window and then points with her finger. “I don’t think you’ll have to. I think she just got the message.”
Looking at where Holly is pointing, I see Tracy standing in front of the Taphouse scowling at me.
“Oh, crap. This isn’t what I wanted right now. Or ever.”
“You owe her an explanation, Seth.”
“Yeah. Just give me a sec.” Climbing out of the car, I begin walking toward Tracy, who’s standing at the front door of the Taphouse. Glancing back, I catch Holly fixing her hair and checking her appearance in the rearview—which is completely unnecessary, because she’s the kind of woman who could wear one of my old concert shirts and still look stunning.
Thinking about Holly in one of my concert tees with nothing but a pair of panties underneath… Crap. Now I have to fight back the growing hard-on that I’ve had since I first laid eyes on Holly tonight.
Facing the door again, I step closer to Tracy. “Tracy, I’m sorry. She’s—”
Before I can finish my thought, Colt, my kid brother, walks out of the bar grinning. He links his arm around Tracy’s waist and they kiss.
Turning toward me, she makes eye contact. “Seth, this is Colt. But since you two could be twins, my guess is that you already know each other.”
“Colt?” I step closer. “I thought you’d gone home for the night.”
“I did.” Nodding, his grin grows even wider. “But then I came back.”
“How’d I miss you coming in?”
“You were having your checkup with Dr. Holly in the car,” Tracy adds, smirking. “That’s when Colt drove up, and the moment he walked into the bar, I knew he was the one for me.”
“And damn.” Pulling Tracy tighter to his side, Colt says, “I am so glad I did.”
Smiling at Colt and Tracy, I nod. “Okay, you guys have fun.”
“We will.” Tracy links both her arms around Colt’s waist.
“Cool. Colt?”
I nod to my brother meaningfully. He untangles himself from Tracy and walks up to stand next to me.
