“Faster,” she whispers.
Downshifting, I open the bike up, and we fly forward.
“Faster,” she says, louder and stronger as her body pushes harder against me.
Ahead are miles of straight, open road, so I push the bike more. I can feel her daring to lift her head, and she looks straight ahead over my shoulder. As fast as we’re going, I would never push the bike to its limits with her on the back. Yeah, the road is open and straight, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t going to be a snake or a stone in the road.
The open stretch of road morphs into a twisty turn up a small mountain, so I slow the bike. I shift my weight for the corner, and she lets her body move with mine.
As we move, I imagine Holly underneath me—her eyes closed as her body responds to each of my thrusts—Damn. It’s too much. Clearing my throat, I push that image out of my mind and concentrate on the road ahead so we can make it to the top in one piece.
Finally, after the last turn, we reach the hidden plateau at the top of the small mountain. Slowing the bike, I cut the engine and drop my custom center stand. As I reach up to take off my helmet, I feel her dismount behind me. Turning to her, I watch as she steps away from the bike and lifts and lowers her legs a few times. They must be stiff from the ride. Then, walking closer to the edge of the cliff, she reaches up and removes her helmet. Her hair moves freely across her shoulders as she tucks the helmet under her arm. The light from the sunrise is just breaking in the distance, framing her. Damn, she is gorgeous.
My jeans grow tight in response. Taking a deep breath, I look away and try to calm myself. Running the numbers of the club build usually helps to cool me down, but right now, the build reminds me of the Dogs. And thinking of the Dogs makes me think of protecting Holly. It seems like all my thoughts come down to Holly nowadays. Throwing my leg over and dismounting, I decide I’m as “together” as I’m ever going to be around this woman. Walking up to her, I stand as close as I dare. Leaning her weight toward me, she presses her shoulder against mine. That’s all the invitation I need. Slipping my arm around her waist, I hold her tight.
“This is stunning,” she whispers.
Nuzzling against her ear, I answer, “Yes, it is.” Tucking my arm under hers, I wrap my hand around her wrist and lift her arm so we’re both pointing ahead of us. “That’s east, of course, where we can see dawn breaking. Down there—” I move her arm so we point to a flat, open area at the base of this mountain. “—is where we hold Music in the Desert. That’s a blast. The music, the vendors, all the ally clubs. It’s really an experience. I’d love for you to come with me this year.”
“I’d like that.” She nods, nuzzling her cheek against my arm.
Bringing our arms down to our sides, I hold her tight. “What I like about it up here,” I explain, “even despite the view, is that we’re alone on this little plateau tucked behind a mountain. I’ve never seen anyone here, and I’ve never heard anyone mention it. It’s my private oasis.”
“We’re all alone…” Her words float off on the wind. “Seth, I have never felt so free in my life as I did on that bike and as I do right now.” Her voice is breathy. “It’s like I’ve had this barrier—this, thisarmoraround me. For twenty-eight years, nothing has ever penetrated it. I’ve never felt anything before you.” Turning to me, she slips her arms up around my neck. “But now, I finally know what it feels like to be alive, and I never want to let that feeling go.”
“Then don’t.”
Nodding, she looks into my eyes and raises her chin. Leaning down, I plant a kiss gently on her forehead, and she shivers in my embrace. Looking deep into her dark eyes, I suddenly want even more than a kiss. I want a connection.
Reaching out, I place my large hand on the back of her head and pull her into my embrace. When her body falls against mine, I wrap my arm around her, holding her tight. Dropping my head, I whisper into her ear, “I’m sorry about the way we left things. I never meant for any of it to go that way.”
Nodding, she lifts her head. “I’m sorry, too.”
Reaching out with both hands, I cup her cheeks and run my thumbs up and down her soft skin. Then, pulling her to me, I place my lips on hers. I move slowly, brushing against her softly. I want to take my time and explore every inch of her gorgeous mouth.
She moans softly as she pushes herself closer to me. The way our arms are wrapped around one another, our jackets fall open so that our chests are pressed against one another—T-shirt to T-shirt. Through the soft material of her shirt, I can feel her nipples harden as she presses them against me. Lifting her leg, she wraps it around my waist and I grab it, cupping her thigh and drawing her tighter against me. The force of my pull brings her even closer to me, and she releases a sexy gasp into my mouth.
“Shit, Holly.”
“Seth.”
As she moans into my mouth, we devour each other in our kiss. Standing near the edge of the cliff with the soft, cool breeze blowing against us and our bodies intertwined, it’s all I can do not to tear off our clothes and take her right here on the red stones beneath us.
Placing both hands on her hips, I lift her. She wraps her legs around me tight, and her fingers toy with my hair. My freaking member is bulging, and she moves herself in just a way that the seam of her jeans bumps against my tip. Carrying her, I walk us toward my bike.
“Aw, shit,” I mumble through clenched teeth. “Right now, I wish I had a blanket with me.”
“No blanket. Your bike.”
“My bike?” Fuck, yeah. My cock grows harder just thinking about it. I’ve never been with a woman on my bike, and I’m not entirely sure of the mechanics of it all, but, hell, I’m willing to try.
Swinging her around, I land her on the passenger’s seat. She gasps, and I notice her lips are swollen from kissing. Dropping her chin, she looks up through her thick, black lashes. She’s ready.
“I’ve never been with a woman on my bike.”
Her eyes light up. “No?”
“No. I don’t even know how, but you can be damned sure that I’ll figure it out.”
