matter who I¡¯m seeing, why are you focused on this?¡±
¡°It¡¯s about honor,¡± Tank spoke up this time and my stomach dropped, fearing I lost the
battle, but I would continue fighting. ¡°You swore you wouldn¡¯t, yet here we are again,
Wrench. It¡¯s not about who you¡¯re seeing, it¡¯s about how you¡¯re acting. You¡¯re distracted,
you¡¯re disrupting our brotherhood, and most importantly, you¡¯ve lied. Not only to me, but
to all of us. If you¡¯re able to lie about some broad, what else would you lie about?¡±
¡°You know me, Tank,¡± I argued. ¡°You know I¡¯m loyal.¡±
¡°We can see you¡¯re loyal to her.¡±
With my lips pursed, I shook my head with disappointment at Tank, Archer, and
Ripper. ¡°Fine. If you guys want to focus on how shitty I am, great. Fine. Kick me out, I
don¡¯t fucking care.¡± All three seemed taken aback by my threat. ¡°But we have a more
important problem on our hands. The Freeways are going to have us thrown in prison for
their crimes if we don¡¯t put an end to it. Let¡¯s do this for Hollywood. Let¡¯s dethrone those
fucking Freeways Dicks once and for all.¡±
Ripper piped up first. ¡°I don¡¯t know why we¡¯ve waited this long. We know where their
hideout is. We¡¯re wasting time, talking about Wrench simping for some girl he hardly
knows.¡±
¡°Uh¡ yeah.¡± I scowled and looked at the ceiling. ¡°My point exactly.¡± Brushing off the
insult, I said, ¡°What do you say, boys? Are we ready?¡±
Tank and Archer both inspected me, still on the fence and Ripper slammed his fist on
the table. ¡°I¡¯m with you, Wrench.¡±
¡°That¡¯s not how this works,¡± Tank shot to Ripper, but he only shrugged.
¡°I¡¯m not waiting until it¡¯s too late,¡± Ripper said. ¡°That¡¯s what they want us to do.¡±
Tank growled and pressed his cigar into the ashtray on the table. ¡°Fine. I¡¯ll call the
guys. We¡¯ll meet in an hour.¡±
Chapter Eighteen
Samantha
By the time I got home, the sun was rising, and despite my efforts to reduce the
puffiness, there was no way I could hide my tears. Sneaking into my house, I made a bolt
to my bedroom, but my dad caught me red-handed.
