¡°Yeah¡¡±

Slowly, I removed myself from her and tossed the condom in the garbage, covering it

with a few napkins. The last thing I wanted was Evelyn finding out I had sex where she

worked.

Samantha still lay on the bar, hair drenched from the rain and her naked body shining

with sweat. All that covered her was the black skirt bunched around her waist. Slowly, she

sat up, adjusting her skirt so it sat properly but made no rush for her shirt. A lopsided grin

was on her face.

¡°Hi,¡± she said, and I laughed.

¡°Hi,¡± I replied, laughing, and moved to one of the fridges under the bar. ¡°Guess we

Shaking my head, I laughed, ¡°You¡¯re so cute.¡±

She blushed and took a sip of beer, peering around the bar. ¡°It¡¯d be cool to live above a

bar.¡±

¡°Always having beer is nice,¡± I said. ¡°Wanting to take a nap but with fifty drunk people

downstairs isn¡¯t that nice.¡±

¡°Pros and cons.¡± She shrugged. Everything she said made me smile, I felt like a

teenager. Just as I began to thank whatever karma brought her back into my life, I
