¡°Is he dangerous?¡± Ellen asked and I mentally cursed myself when I couldn¡¯t hide the

frown on my face.

¡°No,¡± I said, knowing I wasn¡¯t lying about him. ¡°No, he isn¡¯t.¡±

¡°What about his lifestyle?¡±

I looked at the ground. ¡°Well¡ I don¡¯t know. It¡¯s not anything serious between us,

anyway. It¡¯s not important.¡±

Ellen, now taking Lizzie¡¯s role as the interrogator, but with a far more serious tone.

¡°He¡¯s not in¡ a club, is he?¡±

¡°Do those even still exist in real life?¡± Lizzie asked. ¡°I thought they were just in the

daunting reaction didn¡¯t make me feel less optimistic about our situation.

¡°All right, enough with that serious stuff,¡± Lizzie said. ¡°Have you guys slept together?¡±

¡°Oh yeah,¡± I said, bobbing my head and they each laughed.

¡°Atta girl!¡± Ellen cheered.

¡°How was it?¡± Lizzie asked. ¡°It was mind-blowing, wasn¡¯t it?¡±

¡°Well¡¡± I clicked my tongue against my teeth. ¡°Let¡¯s just say I haven¡¯t thought about

Travis in days¡¡±

After I filled them in on the juicy, fun, and censored details of Isaac¡¯s and my budding

relationship, I finished up the rest of my appointments in great spirits. It felt liberating,
