BANG. BANG.
Two shots were fired, one only smashing a beer bottle, but the other hit one of the
men on the couch right in the chest. Then, silence.
All of us watched the blood pool underneath his shirt and his skin pale. Beside him,
the other guy began to stir, rubbing his eyes and yawning.
¡°What¡¯s goin¡¯ on?¡± Pulling his palms away, he turned to his friend napping with him
on the sofa. His jaw dropped as his friend twitched and gurgled. Shaking, he stammered,
¡°T-T-Titan!¡±
In a flash, Ray, Slink, and Cash¡¯s guns were out against my one pistol. Luckily, the five
Rebels flew down the stairs and were at my side, armed.
Crow¡¯s voice erupted through the gunshots as he yelled to the bleeding man, ¡°How¡¯s
that for a cheap shot, bitch?¡±
All of us were squared with each other, guns drawn, menace glowing in all our eyes.
Tank and Ray were aimed at each other, snarling, when Ray said, ¡°You¡¯ve really fucking
done it now, Tank.¡±
¡°Now, we¡¯re even.¡± Tank¡¯s voice was cold and steady. ¡°We can end this now. Walk
away.¡±
¡°Tank, we¡¯ve known each other for what, twenty years?¡± Ray asked. ¡°Do you think
that¡¯s something I¡¯d do?¡±
¡°What? You piss off everyone on your side of town?¡± I asked. ¡°Too pussy to ride your
streets that you need to come to ours disguised as us?¡±
¡°Fuck off, pretty boy,¡± Slink said, glaring at me through his sunken-in eyes. ¡°You can
try to come up with a reason that makes us look weak.¡±
¡°Truth is,¡± Cash began talking for Slink, a slimy, smug grin on his thin lips, ¡°we were
bored.¡±
A look of disgust and confusion showed on all of our faces, aside from Crow, who
looked just as eager to murder as before, likely not listening to the conversation.
¡°Bored?¡± Ripper asked.
¡°Bored,¡± Ray repeated, taunting Tank with a callous smile. ¡°Bored and tired of you
fucking assholes acting holier than thou. Tired of hearing people on our side of town talk
