¡°Good. Now go get some sleep. Once we¡¯re done with them, their freeway is going to
be painted in our tracks.¡±
We all hollered and cheered, then said goodbye to Tank and the rest of the club,
leaving Archer and me to stay behind for another round of drinks.
¡°Last night of freedom,¡± Archer said. ¡°May as well enjoy it.¡±
My thoughts exactly, I thought, as my eyes scanned the Tavern. The lights were
dimmer, and the music changed from upbeat fiddles and guitars to slower country
ballads. A few drunk elderly couples were embraced in a slow, swaying, dance and the
bartenders were beginning to flip the glasses, hinting that they would be shutting down
soon. In the corner of my eye, I noticed the large-breasted woman from earlier staring at
me as she stood at the bar for another drink.
¡°You gonna go for it?¡± Archer asked.
I breathed through my nose, almost in defeat. ¡°You think Ripper will mind?¡±
¡°Nah,¡± Archer said. ¡°Even if he did, not like he¡¯s here doing anything about it.¡±
I nodded in agreement, finally giving the girl with the fake tan my gaze which she was
obviously craving. Just seeing the look of desire for me, out of all the men in the bar, was
enough to get me hard. I loved the rush of knowing I was turning a woman on without
even speaking to them. Or touching them.
¡°All right, see ya tomorrow, Arch,¡± I said as I stood up and clapped him on the back.
¡°Uh-huh, yeah, see ya,¡± he replied, but I noticed he wasn¡¯t paying attention and was
instead focusing on a woman who looked like she probably did some meth earlier that
day. His beer goggles must have been working well that night.
When I turned back to the girl I was about to take home, I noticed she¡¯d managed to
pull her already abnormally low shirt even lower. Fine by me, I thought, as I strolled
toward her. I realized she was a little prettier than I initially summed her up to be, but she
was wearing way too much makeup. Before speaking to her, I already made the decision
to send her home before going to sleep. I didn¡¯t want to see how she looked in the
morning.
¡°What¡¯s a pretty thing like you doin¡¯ all alone, darlin¡¯?¡± I asked and put my foot on one
of the empty chairs at her table and slouched on my knee casually. Not only was my
