“Saved me a hell of a headache,” Marx says, barking out a laugh.
Moss fixes his gaze on me, then my men. “Am I ever gonna live down marrying that bitch?”
“Moss. You married a serial cheater who bitched about Mom’s cooking and left you with two newborns. You’re gonna have to put up with us giving you shit for the rest of your life.”
“Speaking of,” Nitro says, tipping his head towards Lily who is slowly trying to corral Heath and Reed toward their dad.
Moss fake growls at them before lifting them, one giggling toddler in each arm, then giving me a hip bump, “Move your ass inside, if we take too long these bikers will eat all Mom’s good food and leave us the crap that only Dad likes.”
“Shit, you’re right!” I start to speed walk as fast as my lupus legs will take me, which granted, isn’t very fast at the moment.
I let out a yelp when all of a sudden I’m swept off my feet, my arms automatically moving to latch around Hayden’s neck.
“Move fuckers,” Zane growls, trying to move the Tombs brothers out of our way, to get to the dining room.
As soon as we’re through the door Fox gently places me on my feet, dropping a kiss to my crown.
I grin up at him, then roll my lips between my teeth at the look on Zane’s face as he tries to keep Rider away from the table.
“What’s going on there?” I ask Hayden, tipping my head toward where Zane is now physically trying to block Rider.
Hayden groans, pulling my back to his chest so we can watch them. “Rider is a whore for Mexican.”
I burst into laughter when Rider bites Zane before bolting and Zane’s reaction is to kick his boot off and throw it at him. It narrowly misses Rider who swivels his hips at the last minute, moving his ass out of the way.
“Esas caderas dicen que sabes bailar.”Mom yells through the kitchen hatch at Rider, waggling her brows while Dad frowns over her shoulder and covers her eyes.
“What did your mom just say?” Hayden asks, looking between my parents and Rider.
“She said he had impressive hips and that he knew how to ‘dance’,” Zane answers in a bored tone, shoving his foot into his boot.
“How the hell does he know Spanish?” Fox mumbles.
“Aw yeah! See? Mama Flora can see talent and appreciate these hips!” Rider crows before he starts swiveling them for all to see.
Now, I’m happy with my two men, but watching Rider’s moves, I have to admit those hips are impressive.
“I bet you appreciate these moves, huh, ladies?” Rider says in a flirty voice, dancing a little too close to Mama Debs so Pops flicks him in the balls.
“Find your own woman!” Pops growls, a protective arm around Mama Debs.
“I’m trying! But everyone keeps snatching them up!” Rider whines.
My eyes dart to the girl gang to see if they’re thinking what I’m thinking. Judging by the sly smiles all around and Mira bouncing in her seat clapping, I’m guessing we’re all on the same page.
“Oh, oh, I know someone I can set you up with!” Mira says, hand up in the air the way my students hold theirs.“She’s suuuuuper pretty and really clever and has loads of cute hobbies.”
“Oh, really?” Rider asks, looking interested.
“Good, sort that shit later.” Marx says loudly. “It’s been a helluva couple of days and Miss Flora has been kind enough to make dinner.” His hard gaze moves around the table. “We will enjoy every last bite and be fucking respectful. No funny business.” Someone snorts but we all do as we’re told and take our seats, Marx staying standing until Mom sits down, Dad by her side.
Gazing around the table I’m amazed that this is happening. A few short weeks ago I was single. Lonely. Filling my days with school and crime documentaries. Now I’m sitting eating a family dinner with my two, yes, count them, twoboyfriends, their family and my family. It’s crazy how things work when you open yourself up a little.
Zane’s warm hand drops to my thigh, giving it a little squeeze as he leans in. “I know,” he whispers.
Pulling back he holds my gaze. “Know what?” I whisper back.
“That it feels surreal that we’re here. That through whatever shit we’ve been through we’re here. With family and friends and the people we love.”
