Evan cleared his throat. “Pleasure.” Hendrick was basically vibrating with laughter beside me.
“Duration of your stay?”
“Twenty-four hours. We are just passing through on our way across Europe.”
We were only staying for a day? This was news to me.
Were they so eager to be done with me already?
Chapter24
Sampson
Otto had found us a place to stay on one of those online room-letting sites, hiring us an entire apartment so close to the Eiffel Tower that it felt like you could almost reach out and touch it with your hand.
It had been worth forgoing some of the services I was used to just to see the look of wide-eyed wonder on Aviva’s face when she stepped out onto the balcony and stared at one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks. Otto looked smug, and Hendrick elbowed him.
“Show-off.”
Evan looked a little displeased, the lack of security here obviously a problem, but who the hell knew we were here? I hadn’t even known we were going to be here.
“Relax, Evan. It’s fine, and it's only for a night, two at most.”
Checking entry and exit points, he let out a disgruntled noise in my direction. “This whole thing is a security nightmare, Sam.”
“It’s fun though.” My balls ached but I still couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. Evan grunted something, but didn’t meet my eyes as he continued his scan of the room. The apartment only had two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, though the couch also pulled out for Evan. If Aviva wanted space, well, it wouldn’t be the first time Otto, Hendrick and I had all slept in one bed.
But if she wanted to finish what she’d started on the way through the tunnel? Well, I was fairly sure one of us would warm the other side of the bed for her.
“Are you assured that this place is safe enough?” I asked Evan, and he gave a begrudging nod. I grinned. “Take three hours to go and enjoy the sights of Paris. Actually, make it four. I promise none of us will leave this apartment.”
Evan’s face could’ve been a mask with how much he was giving me. He looked at me for a long moment, his eyes taking in my whole face like he could read my every thought. Eventually, he nodded, moving to pick up his jacket and wallet, slipping out the door like a ghost.
A frowning Good Girl watched him go. “Where’s Evan off to?”
“Sightseeing.”
She pouted a little. “He should have said. I would’ve liked to see some of Paris before we have to leave.”
I swaggered across the room, my eyes catching on the small, red bruise on her throat. Hendrick and his fucking hickies. “Good Girl, I will take you on a tour of every cheesy destination in this city. Shut down the tower itself so you can stand up there like you own it.” When I was close enough, I reached out and grabbed her hips, dragging her toward me. “But first, I need to finish what we started in the car.”
“Need?” she whispered.
I groaned. “Want. Very, very much desire.”
She searched my face for a moment, much the way Evan had only minutes earlier, before giving me a small, seductive smile. “Otto?” she called, and Otto appeared behind her like a faithful hound.
Oh, this girl knew. She knew she had us now. Tricky bitch.
But you know what? I didn’t fucking care. Not even a little bit. I wanted her, on her knees, on her back, with her legs wrapped around my head.
I just wanted her.
Otto skimmed his hands down her shoulders. “Viva?”
“Can you unzip my dress?”
Otto’s eyes met mine over Aviva’s head, and where Evan kept his face blank, Otto always had a notoriously shit poker face. There was wonder, lust, and if I wasn’t wrong, a touch of trepidation in his eyes, like he knew that this moment might mean something more than just an easy holiday fuck.
