“Hi,” I said around my mouthful, which I quickly finished chewing and swallowing. “The food looks amazing. Have you had breakfast? You better get in here before I eat it all.” I took another big bite as I watched him glance from my mouth to my plate, to the food, and then back to my plate. I shrugged. “Who doesn’t love food, right? I’d eat anything. What about you?”

“Yeah,” he said slowly.

“Quake, have you met Rommy?”

“We didn’t officially meet, but I saw and admired him yesterday.” I stuffed the muffin in my mouth and held out my hand while Dusty giggled.

Quake closed the back door and moved my way to take my hand. “Rommy, right?”

I nodded. When he released my hold, I bit off some more blueberry goodness, and around it, I asked, “Who makes all this stuff?”

Dusty turned from the table where the drinks sat. “I love baking. I do most, but I also have the help of the club girls.”

I could feel Quake studying me. Was he waiting on a reaction from me about the club girls?

“Cool. Mum gets the girls in the compound to help out too. They can’t just laze about while waiting for the guys, am I right?”

“Exactly,” Dusty said.

I glanced and smiled at Quake, who was staring at me.

The doors behind us opened, and more bikers filed in. One was Tech. “You’re Eve’s brother.”

He smirked. “Twin brother.”

“No shit.”

He chuckled. “No shit.”

I turned to the other guy. “Hey, I saw you on the boat yesterday too. I’m Rommy.” This guy had been unhinged on the boat going from one to another and taking them down without a care in the world. I didn’t miss the blood that had coated him.

The buzzcut guy nodded. “Torch.”

“Cool. Like that name.” I nodded just as something slipped by Torch’s legs. I cried, “Puppy.” I quickly placed my plate to the counter before I went to the floor and opened my arms.

“No!” Tech yelled.

“Harley,” Torch barked.

And before the puppy could reach me, I was picked up off the floor with an arm around my waist. I glanced over my shoulder and patted the big guy’s arm. “I’m good, Quake. He’s just a puppy.”

I could feel how fast he was breathing. “That dog only likes two people. Torch and his old lady, Wrenley. He sometimes tolerates Tech and Death, since they on occasion look after him. But the beast doesn’t like anyone else.”

I snorted and rolled my eyes as I tapped his arm. “Animals love me.” I wiggled against Quake who grunted. “Any other time we can play, but I wanna see the puppy.”

Next, I was dropped like a sack of hot potatoes, and Quake moved away with burning cheeks.

Aww, he was too cute. Would he blush if I got naked?

Not that I’d do that. At least not with this many people around and especially if there were brothers who had old ladies. Getting naked in front of taken men would be disrespectful, and I’d never do that.

“What are you thinkin’?” Tech asked.

“That I wouldn’t get naked in front of anyone who’s in a relationship.” I dropped down to my knees again and looked up at Torch. “Can he come closer?”

Torch glanced down to Harley, who was sitting at his side. He tipped his chin my way and then Harley placed his attention on me.

“Come on, cutie. Who’s such a good boy? Yes, you are,” I cooed, holding out my hands. He drew closer and sniffed at my hands. “You’re such a handsome boy, Harley. I bet your mum and dad take good care of such a sweet boy.” His tail started wagging. Then he got the bum wiggle going before jumping at me to lick my face. Laughing, I patted him all over. “Yes, I knew you were a nice boy.”
