I would get him out of here, take him back to my place, and push him to his knees.

He would suck my cock, and I’d come down his throat to the sound of him choking. Then I would fuck him on every surface of every room until he was finally fast asleep.

Yes, he would be mine.

With my mind made up, I kneeled over him and zipped my cock away before undoing the leather straps.

Carter rolled over and pulled his pants up, hiding his massive erection.

We exited the room, hurrying down the hallway, past the unmanned nurse’s station and reception.

No one was around to watch me use my code to open the front doors or exit into the night.

Carter looked around, barefoot and shivering in his thin gray clothes.

It was weird to see him like this, outside of the dreary, gray walls of Wellard Asylum. He looked different somehow, blanketed by the starry night sky and crisp air.

If the gravel hurt his feet, he didn’t let on, keeping up with me as I guided him to my car. He looked at the red beetle, then at me.

“I thought you’d drive something different.”

I unlocked the car, watching him over the roof. “Get in.”

He threw a look behind him, and I knew what he was thinking.

He could bolt for the woods, but we were far away, and it was close to freezing temperatures. It would take him hours to walk to town, hours he didn’t have barefoot without a coat or footwear, and he could get lost.

He entered the vehicle, and I smiled in the darkness before taking one final look at the monstrous building behind me.

The crows were asleep in their nests. A lone light shone in one of the rooms on the top floor, and a shadow moved past the window.

I joined Carter in the car, instantly struck by his masculine scent. As I turned the ignition, he blew on his cold hands, his knees touching the dashboard.

I almost suggested he shift his seat back, but it was done already.

On the drive back, Carter stared out the passenger window while I debated my options. Usually, my victims were subdued at this point and unable to run away, but I didn’t have my gun.

The closer we got to civilization, the more nervous I got.

If he ran, I would chase him.

My hands were clammy on the wheel as I watched him from the corner of my eye. He drummed his fingers on his thigh and glanced at me.

I felt that look down to my toes.

“Aren’t you going to ask me?”

He took up so much room in my small vehicle. The heat of his arm burned through me when I peered at him before focusing my attention back on the road.

“Ask you what?” I couldn’t quite hide the shake in my voice.

“Why do I kill?”

“I know why you do it.”

The headlights stretched out before us, lighting up the winding road. But it was dark in the car.

We turned a corner.
