His words were a soothing balm, easing my troubled thoughts. Maybe Drew wasn’t the one for me. Maybe I’d been trying to convince myself otherwise the whole time we were together.
“And what about you? Have you found your girl?”
His deep sigh sent a tickle across my forehead. “I have, but it’s complicated.”
A sharp pang of something—jealousy?—stung my heart, and my breath hitched in my throat. But why? I don’t have feelings for him...do I?
“Come here,” he murmured, pulling me closer. “Let’s get you some rest, and we can talk about it tomorrow.” He pressed agentle kiss to my hair.
I knew we wouldn’t discuss it tomorrow, but I let it go. Maybe he didn’t want to talk about it?
I shifted closer to him, reveling in the comfort of his embrace. I’d never slept with him like this before. Usually, I’d be curled up with my back to his chest, but now we were facing each other, my body wrapped securely in his arms.
His chin rested on the top of my head, while mine was nestled against his solid chest. His arms held me close against his warm body, and I never wanted to move.
I could stay like this forever.
Chapter 18
“Honey, I’m home!” Andy’s voice echoed through the kitchen, followed by her infectious giggle and a low chuckle from Kyle. I could hear him shushing her, his voice a soft murmur.
“Come here, don’t wake...her up,” Kyle’s voice trailed off, and I found myself straining to hear more. Were they making out? No, surely not. I lifted my head from the pillow, trying to catch any hint of what was happening.
What were they doing out there? “Mmmm, I had a lot of fun tonight,” Andy’s voice was flirtatious, unmistakable.
“Why don’t we continue the fun, baby? I’ve been dying to take this dress off you the entire night.” The sound of footsteps moving towards Andy’s room and the door closing behind them made my heart sink.
Oh hell no! They’re not! Please tell me they’re not about to sleep together? I’m not mentally prepared for that! The sound of their kissing echoed through the air vent connecting our rooms.
This is a living nightmare!
After a few moments, all I could hear was the sound of their kisses. Maybe they’re too drunk to do anything else?
I convinced myself they wouldn’t go any further and settled back into my pillow, ready to drift back to sleep. The sound of their kissing was nauseating, but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I found myself thanking the heavens that Andy wasn’t sleeping with my brother—
“Oh, fuck, Andy!” Kyle’s voice shattered my thoughts.
I lay there in bed, Knox beside me, fast asleep. I was jealous that he wasn’t hearing what I was hearing right now.
“Let me taste you, baby! I’ve been dying to taste you since Savannah,” Kyle’s voice was seductive, and I felt my stomach churn.
“I taste fucking delicious, Kyle,” Andy’s voice was confident, taking things up a notch. I really didn’t need to hear this. This was too much.
By all means, do it WHEN I’M NOT LISTENING!
“You’re so sexy when you talk like that, baby! I’m going to make you cum so hard you’ll want me over and over again!”
“Oh... shit, Kyle... That’s so.... hot.... mmmm... yes!”
“You’re right, baby, you taste so fucking good! I’m so glad I saved you for dessert!”
“Oh! Kyle! Yes! Right there, baby, right there!” Andy’s voice was filled with pleasure.
“You have got to be shitting me right now!” I cried out, feeling Knox stir beside me. He wrapped his arms around me tighter, pulling me closer to his body.
“What’s up, baby doll?” he asked, his voice sleepy and sexy.
No, no! Let’s not think about that now, Alex!
