I licked my lips. Gabriel looked terrific naked. He barely gave me a chance to look before he pounced like a fucking tiger shifter. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he slid into me. It burned pleasantly as he stretched me out.

Okay, so I’d totally angry banged some shifters while I was dealing with the side effects from this magic, but I’d never actually had sex with anyone who had used it.

I was so reworking this spell and abusing it to have sex like this again. I would become a gatrillionaire and a published author with some cake recipe that got you laid. Supernaturals looked down on humans in a lot of ways, but if something promised to get your dick hard and have good sex, they ate it up just as much as the humans did.

I forgot all about that and just enjoyed the ride. Gabriel was fucking me harder than any shifter ever had, and my hands being restrained added perfectly to the sensation.

If Talvath and Bram weren’t awake yet, they probably would be soon because this was the kind of rage sex that broke windows and the only possible way to stay quiet was with a ball gag. I had one of those in the drawer, but Gabriel didn’t bring it out. Maybe later. I was thoroughly looking forward to exploring my kinky toy drawer with Gabriel. Balthazar was probably into some nasty shit that made your toes curl and forget your first name too.

I seriously lucked out in the fate boyfriend’s department.

I was howling in pleasure, and Gabriel kept growling at me. He didn’t let out the massive roar I was expecting when he came… instead he buried his face in my neck and bit me. That shot me over the edge, and I came so hard, I was pretty sure my soul left my body for a good five minutes.

Gabriel immediately unlocked my hands and pulled me to his chest while we both caught our breath. He started laughing.

“You didn’t warn me the food was going to do that. Were you trying to seduce me with magical eggs and watermelon juice?”

I shrugged and nuzzled his chest.

“I knew it would fix you, but I’m not going to lie about wanting you in my bed either. Oh, and Gabriel? Yeah, I’d totally put a ring on it.”

He grinned and squeezed me.

“And I’m not going anywhere. I guess our shitty dating lives were just waiting for this.”

“It was worth it.”

There was a soft knock on the door then, and Balthazar poked his head in.

“Are you done getting nasty, or just taking a break? Bram is awake.”

Gabriel kissed the top of my head. We both knew where we needed to be. Bram needed us, so that was where we were going.

Bram

Was I dead? The last thing I remembered was taking on that revenant. I felt awful. When I cracked my eyes open, there were two silver orbs right in my face. Only Reyson had eyes like that, but I didn’t like anyone being up in my face like that. I didn’t give a shit if he was a god. I stuck my palm against his forehead and tried to shove him away.

“Is Talvath safe?” I groaned.

“We got you and the demon out of there. The painting in the shipping container doesn’t house a soul, though it probably did until Silvaria trapped a demon there. She had help from someone from Hell, but she must not trust the magic entirely, or she wouldn’t have made a revenant and stuck another decoy painting there,” Reyson said.

I bolted up to a sitting position, and my head swam. The level of magic to do that to me and still have Talvath out was very advanced demon magic. Talvath knew it, but not every demon in Hell possessed that kind of knowledge. Someone powerful in Hell was helping Silvaria, but I didn’t know why. Most of the powerful demons were rich and didn’t upset the status quo. A lot of them weren’t even in the soul collection business like Talvath.

I looked over, and Talvath was sleeping. He looked pale and weak, but I could see some color returning to his cheeks. My magic allowed me to change forms and made me very strong. I had advanced healing properties. Even if I did have magic like a demon did, I couldn’t help Talvath.

That kind of spell work was usually only used against dangerous criminals. It was meant to detain and weaken. No one had figured out how to heal anyone from that because they just didn’t care. They wanted them weakened when they rounded them up and threw them into a warded cell. I couldn’t even bring Talvath back to Hell to fix this.

“What exactly happened?”

Ripley came strolling in with Gabriel and Balthazar. I didn’t need to see her flushed cheeks and tousled hair to know she’d just had sex with one of them. I could feel my Hellhound scratching at the surface in response to the scent of a freshly fucked Ripley. He wanted in on it. He wanted to claim the librarian and knot in her.

I sighed and tried to breathe through my mouth. That wasn’t happening. If I went there with Ripley, then feelings would get involved. I was already viewing my life and Hell differently, ever since I set foot in the library. When I went back, if I were also pining for a woman, I would do something stupid, and not even Talvath would be able to save me.

“Well, you tried to eat the revenant like a dumbass,” Balthazar said. “It flung you into some nasty demonic force-field. Reyson ripped the thing’s head off, but it still wanted to kill us. Gabriel had some spiffy magic on hand for killing revenants, but it zapped all his warlock mojo. Reyson touched the force-field and learned all about demon magic. He broke it, aaaaaand then we got the two of you the fuck out of the freaky funhouse.”

Balthazar summed that up in the most Balthazar way possible, but I wasn’t even mad about it. I liked that vampire, and I’d kind of rather hear this with his spin on it. I’d failed. I got my ass kicked by a revenant. Wait, a minute!
