Rei
Ididn’t remember them at all. Sota told me how desperate they were to meet me now that I was here. I would say this for them though… no one down here knew shit about me, except that I liked to steal things, but they weren’t trying to assume I liked to wake up early. It was so lovely to blissfully sleep late without some annoying bell, or Faust yanking my covers off so they could count me off the inmate register.
After attempting to wake my happy ass up countless times, Faust knew my internal clock wasn’t that of a morning person, and so let me sleep. I’m pretty sure he turned his grumpy-ass wolf on to run interference, so no one else woke me up either.
I could sleep through an earthquake, so I probably slept through him getting out of bed a few times. I woke up in his arms, and it was just fucking perfect to feel so safe like that after the whole getting busted and ending up in jail experience.
He smelled so fucking good! I nuzzled his chest and groaned. He tightened his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.
“Welcome to the world of the living, princess. You’re a pain in my ass to wake up, and I wouldn’t try when I didn’t have to. Wren knew better because she’s seen you in action, but I guess Dakarys, Rajack, Sota, and your dad have a death wish.”
“Please tell me you didn’t threaten to eat the emperor.”
Faust chuckled.
“I just had to say you didn’t enjoy waking up early, and he got it. Apparently your mother is a beast to wake up, too. He offered to give me some sort of demon award for even trying, so your ass didn’t end up in solitary for missing count.”
“Shut up! He did not!”
Faust stood up and stretched. He winked at me and chuckled.
“He totally did. Your dad is pretty cool, Rei. He gave us all spelled cell phones, capable of calling any realm. Sota told him you look and act a lot like your mom. Oh, and your dad also advised me to coordinate breakfast with Sota because, if your people don’t get fed after sleeping half the day, they set things on fire.”
That was totally me, but I was going to argue about it, anyway. That is, until my stomach betrayed me and let out this inappropriate grumbling noise. Faust snapped into action and grabbed his phone. That was a little unfair. I only just gained the ability to set things on fire. I was an asshole when I was hangry, but my specialty was grand larceny, not arson.
“Get dressed, Rei. I’m hungry too, and I’ve been fending off people wanting to see you all morning. You can set things on fire now, and I rather like this bedroom.”
I wouldn’t burn anything down because of it, but I was damn hungry, and wanted to get a look at the closet Wren was raving about. I wouldn’t have been embarrassed eating breakfast naked in front of my prison friends. Sota was going to see it eventually, so I didn’t mind if he saw it now… but, I definitely didn’t want to eat breakfast with my parents with my tits out!
Oh, shit. I destroyed Faust’s prison uniform. If my parents didn’t want to stare at my tits while they ate, they definitely didn’t want to look at Faust’s bare ass, even if it was a damn nice ass.
When I turned around, he was already dressed. I stood there, gaping. I’d explored every inch of his naked body last night, but I’d never actually seen him dressed in anything but his prison uniform, and my brain couldn’t even process what I was looking at. How did Sota even do this? I knew it had been him without asking.
Faust was wearing a pair of dark jeans, that hung low on his hips, and a tight black shirt that made me want to lick his biceps again. He saw me staring and smirked at me.
“Still wishing I’d kept that stupid uniform?”
“Fuck no, but I’d like to rip that off you too.”
Faust smacked me on the ass.
“You’re scary powerful with three tails. Your mom and dad both have nine, and they run this entire region of Hell. Your dad was pretty cool about the marks you left on my neck, considering how he arranged an entire marriage for you, but that mellowness might change if he has to wait longer to meet you because I’m ravaging you.”
I shrugged and turned back to my closet. That was totally fair. I hadn’t met him, but my father seemed cool about my sleeping habits, the people I’d brought with me, and what I did last night with Faust, but I was guessing he definitely had limits.
This closet was something else, and I was just as impressed as Wren had been. How did Sota put this together? Everything was custom made, and when I slipped on a shirt and a pair of trousers, it was like I had been here personally to have my measurements taken. Ineverfound clothes that fit this well.
I had always been this runty little mean person who liked to steal. I had to make do by finding clothes that mostly fit and then tailor them. My mother did it at first, and then she taught me how to use a sewing machine. I might suck in the kitchen, but I could alter clothes like a boss. Damn, the material was also super comfortable.
I was dressed and starving but petrified about meeting my parents for the first time. Faust pulled me into a massive wolf hug, then turned to open the door. Was there a line out there or something? People started spilling into my bedroom with trays, followed by my prison breakout team, and Sota.
They were all dressed similarly. Dakarys and Rajack looked just as yummy as Faust. Wren looked like a fucking dominatrix, and I was so here for that. Even Sota looked good. He wasn’t as massive as my wolf, sphinx, or gargoyle, but there was this deadly grace about him, and he undeniably had impeccable taste in clothes.
We all kneeled at the table and took the lids off the trays. They made quite a spread, including Tamagoyaki, Onigiri, Okonomiyaki, miso soup, and grilled eel. I pigged out on all of these every time I took a job in Japan, and loved them. I knew Faust and Rajack had spent time in Japan, but this would have been new to Dakarys and Wren.
Dakarys was many things, but he wasn’t rude. I didn’t know what happened while I was furiously sexing up Faust last night, but he’d apparently mastered chopsticks. Wren had built this entire persona around being mean, and I loved that about her, but I had to do a double take when she picked up her chopsticks so expertly after the whole stabby thing last night.
Before I could even ask, there was a soft knock on the doorframe, and a deep voice asked if they could join us. Oh, shit… when I looked up, I saw two people. They weredefinitelythe people that gave birth to me.
