“It wasn’t because I didn’t want to or because I wasn’t curious. I would have loved to let loose with the shifters. If Father saw me setting out potions and crystals early instead of working under the moon, he would have gotten paranoid and had me followed. He would have arrested an entire wolf pack on trumped-up charges and had them killed because he’s a purist that thinks species shouldn’t mix.”

The more I learned about their father, the more I hated him. I was having fun with Taron and wanted to mix with the brothers too. I didn’t find a single thing wrong with it.

“I get it. If Taron decides to invite you to a mermaid orgy, you should definitely say yes. Now, get the fuck out of here. Dinner is over, and I have a date.”

“We need to be figuring out how to take care of our father, not having threesomes, Beck.”

“Get out. I’m big on pillow talk and snuggling. I get my bests ideas post-coitus.”

Taron wasn’t remotely interested in this argument. He stood up and grabbed my hand and Becks.

“Threesome,” he grunted.

Okay, then. I was pretty sure Callum had a few more arguments about why we needed to talk more about his father, but Taron was just done listening. I knew we needed to talk about it, and so did Taron. We’d talked all day and still didn’t have an answer. We could pick it up in the morning after everyone had slept.

Taron always had the best ideas when he was a shark, and it was no different on land.
