“We’ll stay behind and control the crowd. There are some things they need to know. We’re good at this. Go.”
“They don’t know what you are,” Forrest pointed out.
“We’ll manage. We’ve done it before,” Adamo said. “We usually don’t bring an entire kingdom in on our plans, but you’re right, Callum. You don’t need to start your reign on lies.”
Callum slipped his hand into my free one.
“I had hoped to show you my home under better circumstances. Welcome to the palace, Kishi. If you’ll have us, we’d love for you to live here with us.”
I squeeze his hand and nuzzled his shoulder. Taron and I would love that, but we weren’t quite there yet.
