“It’s almost over. Do you feel better?”
“I thought I would, but not really.”
“You just need time. I’ll help. So will Forrest, Beck, and Callum.”
“Are you going to bite them if they come to bed with us? Your teeth are sexy, but not if you are biting them.”
“I won’t. I don’t want to kiss Forrest and Callum, but I know you do. So I’m not mad about it.”
“I do love you, Taron.”
“I love you too, Kishi.”
Forrest took my free hand and squeezed it.
“Ready? It’s almost over.”
Yes, it was. And I didn’t feel much better about the whole thing. Taron was right. I wasn’t sorry they were dead, and now they couldn’t hurt anyone else, but nothing was going to fix how I was feeling except time.
