Chapter 40

Those nobles must have had a lot of dirty secrets because Topaz didn’t leave them and signal it was time to crown Callum until my feet hurt from dancing and I had overeaten again. The food was different from the shifter party, but they had so many options here on land. It wasn’t just that they had fire here, and we didn’t in the ocean. They did different things with it to their food.

The coronation was lovely, even if I had no idea what was going on. Taron and I stood next to Callum on his big throne with smiles on our faces like we did. It seemed likea lotto make him a king when everyone wanted it. Beck and Forrest gave pretty speeches before a druid who looked like he was wearing a weird dress came forward.

The druid in the dress didn’t just put the crown on Callum’s head. He rubbed some sort of oil on his forehead that I could smell from where I was standing and starting chanting words I didn’t remotely understand. As soon as he was done and placed the crown on Callum’s head, I felt this pulse of magic.

It was different from my magic or sea witch magic. It felt a little different than the magic the princes had used on me. But, something was soothing about it. It gave me hope for the future. I understood my life now was going to include warriors with weapons following me wherever I went, but I just had this feelings no one would try to come at Callum.

It got pretty noisy after everyone felt that magic, but the party wrapped up soon after that. Someone needed to throw Topaz her own party because she jumped in and made sure anyone who wanted to stop Callum and demand favors not thirty minutes after he became king didn’t get a chance to.

The last time I was outside this massive, gilded door, we’d just killed two men. When I looked inside, everything was garishly purple and covered in blood. I hadn’t been back since then, but it was totally different now.

Everything was red and gold now, and there wasn’t a speck of blood anywhere. There was beautiful art everywhere, but I wasn’t looking at that. My gaze was solely on that massive bed with the ornate headboard and all the possibilities I could get up to tonight.

“I want to get in that thing so you can show me what this orgy business is about,” I announced, pointing to the bed.

Taron scooped me up and raced towards the bed. The druids were hot on their heels. This was pretty much amazing. We were a tangle of bodies on the bed. I lost track of who I was kissing and who was touching me. There were hands and mouths all over me. Beck was sucking on my toes, and oddly enough, I liked it.

Nissa made me a beautiful dress that was a lot less complicated to get out of. It was pulled off over my head, and Forrest briefly got out of bed to put it away so it wouldn’t get ruined.

We were all naked, and the shifters definitely had the right idea with this, though I was sure why they didn’t get up to this every night instead of just on the full moon. Forrest let out a little growl and yanked me to him.

“Mine. I want her right now.”

“I want to watch.”

“Me too,” I said. “I want to watch Taron and Beck while I’m with Forrest. I want to see what they get up to when they are alone.”

“Wish granted,” Beck said, tackling Taron. “I have an idea for later. She wanted an orgy, Forrest. You should share with Callum.”

Callum’s eyes were glittering dangerously as he pulled some supplies out from under the bed.

“I’m interested.”

“Do you trust us?” Callum asked.

“Of course.”

“Good. Then get on all fours and pay a little attention to Forrest’s cock.”

I happily did what he asked, but stopped and bared my teeth at Callum when he seemed interested in doing things to my ass. I didn’t have my knife, and I didn’tthinkI would stab him for that since this might be a land thing, but he'd already be dead if we were in the ocean. Things didn’t go in that hole.

Callum sat back on his heels and removed his hands.

“I won’t if you tell me not to, but if you’ll let me, you can be with Forrest and me at the same time, and it’ll feel amazing.”

“That’s messed up, Callum.”

“It feels nice,” Taron said.

“It really does,” Beck said. “Callum and Forrest just know what it’s like to give, but Taron and I both can tell you it feels amazing to receive. We have plans for you, but there are so many possibilities with that option available.”

“Does it really feel good, or are they all insane?”

I needed to hear it from Taron. I trusted the princes, but this would have been new to Taron too. He decided it was a good idea to try that and liked it enough to try to convince me to do it too.

“I thought the request was strange but kept an open mind about it. I was surprised I liked it so much.”
