“Run along, May. Be grateful it’s not you tonight. I have a witch to entertain me.”
Okay, yeah, fuck waiting for the dream team to come save me. I didn’t want to rob Bram of his brother, but his brother was kind of a rapist turd. I didn’t just owe him because he thought he had every right to me just for existing. I owed him payback for May and every female Hellhound here.
I guess May was done with it too. Before I could get enough magic in my hands to throw at him, she shifted. May was tiny in her human form, but her Hellhound was absolutely massive. I saw Bram when he was shifted, and May was even bigger.
She jumped between Oscar and my cage and bared her teeth.
“You can’t deal with another beating right now, May. Just leave. We can easily replace you. Akulneedsme. It’s why I’m treated better than the rest of you. He’ll punish you for challenging me, but he’ll kill you if you attack.”
Something wasn’t adding up. Oscar didn’t strike me as the type to talk things out. I had a feeling he was important here because of his resemblance to Bram. Oscar had no problem raping May and getting her beaten, but now that she was challenging him, it was like he didn’t want to fight her.
May didn’t give him a choice. She was more done with the men in this house than I was. She lunged at Oscar’s throat. Oscar’s Hellhound exploded, and I got why he tried his words first. Oscar’s Hellhound was the same size as Bram’s but nowhere near the size of May’s.
They collided, and Oscar ended up on his back. I’d chip in with a little magical assist if needed, but May was kicking his rapey ass just fine. The noise brought everyone in the house into this room. Akul kicked the door in, and I could see Dorian and the Hellhounds peering over his shoulder.
“What is the meaning of this? May, stop this at once!”
“She’s doing you a favor,” I yelled. “Your Hellhound decided it was a good idea to come in here and try to rape me. He’d be dead right now if it were me fighting him, and Reyson is going to have big opinions about him trying.”
“Seriously, Akul? We need her unharmed,” Dorian whined. “That includes rape threats from your pets.”
Akul flung some sort of magic at the fighting Hellhounds, and they were blasted apart. I really hoped Akul would side with May on this instead of Oscar just because he had a penis.
“Oscar! What made you think you had my permission to lay a finger on my prisoner? How many times do I have to tell you that if you have needs, use one of the Hellhounds here?”
Oscar shifted back and looked stunned as he rose to his feet.
“I want May punished. She tried to attack me,” Oscar whined.
What a little bitch.
“In this case, May was right. You could have fucked everything up, Oscar. Ishouldpunish you in this case, but you know I won’t. Go to your room and don’t come back in here if the witch is too much temptation.”
Before Oscar could stomp his pouty naked ass off to his room like a petulant child, there was a crash down the hall. Oscar went on high alert.
“There are strangers in this house!” he snarled.
Showtime.
The entire estate started shaking. Akul and Dorian were trying to run out of the room, but no one could stand on their feet. The roof was suddenly ripped off, and a massive dragon was perched on the house frame. I guess Kaine didn’t want to miss this.
“To the portal room! Now!” Akul yelled.
They were planning on fleeing to Earth, but they couldn’t do that just anywhere. Before they could even get two steps, Kaine swooped forward and plucked Akul out of the room with his claws. He just kind of yeeted the demon in the air.
Ravyn and I used to really like human cartoons that came on late at night. Akul made the exact same noise as cartoon villains made when their elaborate boobytrap backfired, and they got catapulted into the distance. It was really beautiful.
An angel with massive white wings caught Akul like he was playing dodgeball with the demon and flew off with him. Kaine’s massive golden eyes winked at me, and he followed. Something told me that dragon was havinga lotof fun breaking shit in Hell with zero rules.
Dorian was stuck now. He couldn’t portal out of here without a demon, but he wasn’t going down without a fight. He looked to his only ally in the room—Oscar.
“Grab the witch. If you get us both out of here, I’ll set you up nice and wealthy on Earth. Then, you can have as many witches as you like.”
Oh, fuck no. I didn’t use magic on him before because it was May’s fight. I’d zap him so hard, all his body hair fell off, and he looked like one of those Sphinx cats, but as a Hellhound. Man, that would be fucked up.
Everyone in the doorway fell as a blur zipped into the room. When it stopped, Balthazar was standing there holding Felix. He set Felix down and smacked him on the ass.
“Go get our witch. I’ll handle the human.”
