Well, that was some shit. Idid notwatch my sister slit Dorian Gray’s throat to get me out of this cage to get blown up by the Real Housewives of Hell. I didn’t even like any version of that show back on Earth.

“Just get rid of him, Reyson. May would have killed him, but Akul broke the fight up.”

“I have a better use for him,” Reyson growled.

Reyson put his hand on Oscar’s forehead, but his brain didn’t start leaking out of his ears like every other time he did this. Oscar tumbled off the wall, and Reyson kicked his ass straight out the door. What was he up to?

“What are you doing?” Bram hissed. “He hurt every single Hellhound here, and he tried to hurt Ripley. Akul would have used him to make sure we are slaves for the rest of my life.”

“I was thinking of Ripley’s television. We all need eyes on downstairs. So I turned Oscar into Netflix! I’m hoping he goes down there and tells them Lilith is involved, and it gives them enough pause for us to get down there, destroy the sigils, and round them up.”

“They won’t,” May said. “They will draw even more dangerous sigils. They are both depraved. They think nothing can stop them, not even gods. Vegran probably cooked up a sigil she thought would work just in case.”

“We need to get down there, now,”Lilith said. “Those sigils won’t do a damned thing to us, but they can kill everyone here.”

Reyson grabbed Lilith and disappeared on us. I got that both of them were indestructible, but everyone here had been affected by this, and the people downstairs had Hellhounds with them that were probably treated just as badly as the ones here.

“Let’s go kill some housewives!” I yelled.

Bram turned to the Hellhounds.

“No one will be angry if you don’t join the fight, but there are others down there in the same situation you are. We don’t want to hurt them. We want to bring them to Lilith or Talvath’s until we can change things for Hellhounds for good. I know you fear Vegran. Theywantus scared of them.

“The whole reason things are like this is thattheyused to fearus. They degraded us and beat us until we thought we were less powerful than they were. If we can turn their Hellhounds to our side and have two gods on our team, wecanbeat them.”

The Hellhounds were good and rallied. They were hooting and hollering and ready to fight for their freedom. I knew they’d be shifting anyway, but I snapped my fingers and gave them all some badass battle leathers. Entrances were important for magical fights.

“Let’s end this!” I yelled.

Ididn’t care who these women were or how important they thought they were. They weren’t hurting anyone in this house. Lilith and I appeared in the middle of the living room. These savages were painting sigils on the walls from the blood of their Hellhounds. They were all standing there half-naked with their heads bowed as the demon women dipped their fingers in the cuts they made on their chest.

The sigils were elaborate, and they hadn’t finished most of them. All the women had a good bit of them tattooed on their skin. This was wrong. I’d been all over the universe, bringing chaos. I’d seen terrible things over my long lifetime, but this was pretty bad.

I’d fought Hellhounds before. Before all this nonsense. They were fierce fighters. They could have easily fought off these women before they sliced their bodies up. I was done with this. I wasn’t okay with slavery back in my day either. I waved my hand and all the sigils burned off the walls.

The women turned to glare at us. Lilith and I didn’t have to announce who we were. They had probably never met her before, but they would have known that we could easily kill them from the power we were giving off. They all looked towards a pinched-faced woman that had to be Vegran.

“You didn’t tell us Lilith was involved!” one of the women snapped.

“A minor inconvenience. Hellhounds, attack!”

“Wait!” Lilith said, holding up her hand.

Now was really not the time to talk. My witch and my friends were upstairs. We needed to get to the killing.

“Hellhounds, I’m not just here because Akul betrayed everyone here. I’m here foryou.Things need to change, and I want to help you, not hurt you.”

“This is stupid. If you don’t attack right this minute, I’ll have the flesh peeled from all of your backs,” Vegran sneered.

Lilith waved her hand, and Vegran’s entire mouth disappeared. Her eyes widened, and her hand flew to her face like she could somehow bring it back. The Hellhounds were hesitating. I knew they probably hadn’t been taught to read or write like Bram had, but they were definitely smarter than the demon women in the room.

Lilith said demon magic came from sigils, and they all had them tattooed on their flesh. They took offense at what Lilith did to Vegran and flung magic at her. It didn’t do a damned thing to her, but it burned a hole in her top. Lilith tossed her red hair over her shoulder.

“That was just rude. This was one of my favorite shirts. Samael loves me in this top.”
