“My twin and I can do birth control magic, so you don’t get pregnant. It will wear off in six months unless it’s replaced. So you can have all the happy fun bangs you want tonight and not worry about pups.”

All the Hellhounds started nodding, and Lilith just stepped forwards.

“It’s already taken care of. I did it as soon as you said you wanted it. Ladies, who do you think wrote that spell?” she said, winking at us.

Everyone left to the rooms Lilith gave them. Balthazar pinched my ass and nipped at my ear.

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t.”

I noticed Balthazar and Reyson leaving together. I was glad. I was getting good at noticing when he needed blood. He always got this little tic below his left eye. He hadn’t fed since he bit Reyson during our little orgy, and we’d been working nonstop since then. Reyson was perfectly happy to let Balthazar bite him, and I was sure they’d be having a grand kinky time tonight.

I sighed when I saw Ravyn and Killian going towards separate bedrooms. She turned to watch him as he walked down the hall. Once this was over, I was planning on having a come to Lilith talk with my twin. What was she waiting on? She clearly liked him. This had better not be about Valentine. Since when had she waited to go after a guy she liked?

Bram came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“I missed snuggling with you when we left.”

I whirled around and kissed him. Now that he had kissed me, he couldn’t take it back. I expected a lot more kisses.

“Then we had better do it again just to be safe.”

Bram gently scooped me up and carried me down the hallway. He nudged a door open with his foot and kicked it closed. Bram walked straight to the bed with me and set me down.

“This is the room Lilith gave me. It’s not like mine, but it’s nice.”

I snuggled into his chest. He just felt so nice.

“Are you kidding me? I make good money at the library, and just that chandelier costs more than ten years of my salary. Thank you, Bram. I’d still be in that cage if it weren’t for you.”

“I did nothing, Ripley. Talvath was the one who got us to Lilith’s house.”

I pinched his nipple to get his attention because he totally did. Bram let out a little growl and nipped at my nose.

“Don’t start something you can’t finish, Ripley.”

“Who said that wasn’t also in my plans tonight, Bram? You can’t introduce yourself to a girl by telling her your cock is pierced and not follow through. But I did want to talk first. How are you dealing with all of this? I called you because I was hoping you would team up with the guys at the library to get me out. I wasn’t expecting Lilith and a Hellhound revolution, but I’m glad it ended this way.”

“It’s honestly fucked up. I was at Lilith’s place, but I wasn’t in the meeting she was having with Talvath. So when I saw your number on the caller ID, I knew the only way you could be calling me was if you had gotten your hands on the app that let you call between realms. I was sure Dorian had it, but there was no way foryouto get it without being here. When you told me Dorian kidnapped you and brought you here, I just lost it. I kicked the door in. She could have killed me.”

“I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve prayed to Lilith. I have candles and offerings to her on my altar. After you told us she was in Hell and retired, it kind of shattered my faith. Still, old habits die hard, and I fired off a little prayer that you’d pick up before I called. I’m pretty sure she was expecting you.”

Bram chuckled.

“That wouldn’t shock me because she didn’t seem surprised in the slightest. We have seers here that Lilith created. I know Reyson can see possibilities because of what he does as a god, but it wouldn’t shock me if Lilith knew all of this would happen and let it play out the way it did because it was the only way to free the Hellhounds without a civil war. Reyson has been angrier about this than Lilith is. I think the only reason he hasn’t killed anyone is mutual respect.”

“Reyson’s possibilities have never been wrong. I thought he was insane when he told me I would be his wife when I first raised him, but he’s probably right about that one. He’s mine now. He was the one whispering in my ear to keep everyone who showed up and got all-access library cards long before I realized the library was trying to tell me something. He kept saying he had a bad feeling about splitting up when they went to grab Dorian. We were worried about Talvath coming back with an army of demons because of what happened to him. I had been texting you, but I didn’t know about the app.”

“Seriously? Talvath is against war, even in situations like what Dorian and Silvaria did to him. He thoughtwewere in danger fromyou.I kept trying to convince him to go back and work with you, but I honestly think he was afraid of you. The only thing that would have gotten him back was a vision from his seer telling him it was necessary. Visions can’t be forced, so he managed to get an audience with Lilith.”

“I’m pretty much big mad about the fact that a vain human was able to get the jump on me and put me in a cage, but witches know everything happens for a reason. It had to play out this way, and maybe the cosmos decided I was getting a little arrogant with that many sexy men in my life and decided to give me a little perspective by sticking me in a cage. Still, it rewarded me because it madethispossible.”

“What do you intend to do with this possibility?”

Oh, Bram was taunting a witch. Did he think since he was a Hellhound, I would let him get away with that? I graduated top of my class in high school and at the Academy of the Profane, but I would totally fling a little sexual goading at a Hellhound if it got me what I wanted.

I shifted my body so that I was straddling Bram. I yanked his shirt up and raked my nails down his amazing abs. Bram groaned as I ground myself into his cock.

“Keep it as long as I can. I know you’ll be needed here with the Hellhounds. We’ll all help as much as we can becauseyoudeserve happiness too. You’re one of us, and I’m claiming you as mine. If I have to make this work long distance, I will, but I’d love to have you in the library with us, and so would everyone else.”
