I was giggling, but my night turned around. I knew how I felt. We hadn’t been back together long, but I already knew what I wanted. Tucker confirmed I could totally have it if they wanted it too. Problem was that they were tight-lipped when I tried to flirt with them badly. Drunk monsters werea lotmore open about their feelings.

“These trousers are my favorite, and they have to be dry cleaned. I'll break your arm if you spill fruity green shit on them.”

I started pounding on the table and chanting to take it off. Oisin, Finnan, and Tucker joined me. Sober Cyrus would never, but drunk Cyrus might give me a peek. Oisin and Finnan jumped off the couch and stripped down to their boxers. Tucker just winked at me.

“Peer pressure is bitch, Cyrus.”

“Fuck it,” Cyrus growled, going for his zipper.

They all lookedamazingin their boxers, and I was enjoying the view. Even if I was pretty sure it meant something that they were off their heads drunk and I wasn’t, I was enjoying the fact that they weren’t worried about whatever rules they were concerned about when they were sober.

“Holy fuck, you look sexy,” I purred.

“I’m not too drunk to say we need to call it a night before Tucker and Reagan get us all naked,” Cyrus said.

“That’s an option?” I asked.

“It should be,” Tucker said. “The girl has never seen monster dick before. That’s a crime, and you need to fix it.”

“I agree,” I said.

Finnan could barely stand up and nearly knocked Oisin over. They both started giggling.

“First of all, I’m a gentleman,” Finnan said. “It’s bad manners to whip it out when you have drunk dick, and it’s not working.”

“Drunk dick is the literal worst,” Oisin moaned.

“Which is why we are all keeping in our boxers,” Cyrus said.

“Can you at least sleep in my room again? I won’t puke on you this time. Even though I felt terrible, and my mind was playing tricks on me, I feltsafewith you close to me.”

Oisin and Finnan were shoving each other to cross the living room.

“Cuddle pile!” Oisin yelled.

“Girl, get it,” Tucker said. “I’m dragging my ass to my own bed.”

Cyrus didn’t stay in my bed with me last night, but he shoved Oisin and Finnan to the ground and drunkenly marched over to me. He swooped me up and was stumbling down the hall to my bedroom.

I think drunk monsters were my favorite.

As terrible as I felt the night before, I felt much better when I woke up. I wasn’t hungover, and I didn’t have a single nightmare. When I went to bed, I was smashed between Cyrus and Oisin. Finnan stretched out at the foot of the bed. When I woke up, Finnan and Cyrus were practically on top of me, snoring, but Oisin was missing. I hoped we didn’t have to drink to sleep like this again.

But where was Oisin? It was still pretty early, and everyone else was totally passed out. I slipped out of bed to find him. I caught my reflection in the mirror as I stopped to scratch my shoulder. My body was a little stiff but not hurting as much. I couldn’t say the same for my teeth, shoulder, and chest.

My hair was definitely bluer than it was before. There was still some blonde in there, but barely. I never thought about blue hair before, but now that it was happening, whether I wanted it to or not, I was kind of into it.

I smiled into the mirror to check what was going on with my teeth. Of all the changes that were supposed to happen with me, that was the one I was the least excited about. Colorful hair and tattoos were cool, but I’d kind of wanted a choice in the matter. The blue was fabulous, and so was the rose tattoo peeking through my chest. I couldn’t even tell what was about to show up on my shoulder.

I’d always taken care of my teeth, even when I lived on the street. It wasn’t just that it was good oral hygiene. They had taken me to some pretty terrifying dentists who had no business around anyone’s mouths in the foster system. So I wasn’t going to skip brushing or flossing in case I needed to see one for anything other than a cleaning.

It looked like my canines were getting longer and sharper. Was I a vampire? Were they real, too, and out there biting people in the Fae realms? I needed to find Oisin. That was the entire point of me getting out of bed.

I found him in the living room surrounded by books with his face buried in his laptop. He had a massive tumbler with something that looked like mud in it. I sat next to him on the couch and went to rest my head on his shoulder. Oisin wrapped his arm around me so I could snuggle into him.

“What are you doing? And as much as I want to try everything Unseelie, I think I’ll pass on whatever that drink is.”
