He also knew that with me when we decided to start trying. I didn’t start as soon as Ripley did. I waited a few years. Ripley had Michael and two lovely, twin girls before we started trying.
Twins were common in the Bell family. It was weird if youdidn’thave twins. Fate wasn’t done fucking with me. Childbirth scared the shit out of me. I was hoping for a lovely little, warlock baby. Like, no surprises with god babies or horse shifters. I wanted an easy birth.
I ended up with twins on the first go. Two little girls with Bjorn’s aura. Bjorn was over the moon to have two little seers to teach. Loki was ecstatic that the seer line he created was continuing, and the rest of us were just crazy in love with two adorable babies. They were spoiled rotten.
We didn’t stop there. I eventually introduced Sleipnir to the glory of catching Pokémon, but babies were kind of like that. Ripley and I had alotof babies. I had little angel, god, Hellhound, vampire, and warlock nieces and nephews. Felix’s son was, like, the spitting image of him, but we wouldn’t know if he was a hybrid like Felix until he got his magic.
Same with my son with Killian. Thankfully, the little, horse shifter I gave birth to was a girl and not some twelve-pound chonk like Loki said Sleipnir was. Lilith showed up with another locket like she did when Ripley gave birth to Reyson’s child when I gave birth to a little red-headed baby with silver eyes and Loki’s aura. It was meant to hide her aura for her protection. We put it on but intended to teach her how to do that.
Little Beyla was our official babysitter. We worked with her on her magic, and she grew into a hell of a witch. We were sitting right there in the front row with Kaine for every single one of her dance performances, and the girl had some amazing talent. I could admit when I wasn’t good at something, and we would never talk about the year I spent in dance lessons ever again.
I think we were all expecting her to audition for the ballet school she didn’t get to go to the following year, but she didn’t. When she graduated high school, we were all sure she was going to become a famous ballet dancer, but she decided to follow in Kaine’s footsteps and join the Paranormal Investigation Bureau.
Kaine hated everything about it, but he would have supported that girl in anything she did, so he helped her. Like me, fate had other ideas for Beyla. Immediately after graduating from the Bureau, she was ordered to go undercover in New York at the very ballet company her ex prevented her from attending when he broke her feet.
I didn’t knowhowfate was going to fuck with Beyla, but my life was mostly kid drama now, so she’d better call me and give me all the details.
