Sofia Rose bites her lower lip and she pushes away from the counter. She walks towards her desk.
“I can call her.”
Niko takes a step back and turns to follow her. He stands next to the desk, watching her pickup her cell.
“No need. I’ll wait for him to return. Have you had dinner? I’ll be honored if you allowed me to take you out to dinner. It’s the least I can do after acting so horrible.”
Niko moves and slides one hand inside the pocket of his black wool pants. He watches the soft purple blush creep up her neck.
I wonder what she is. Her aura is purple and the entities aura are blue. The Vhampiers are red and the humans are white.
Sofia Rose glances quickly over at him and turns to look at the screen. She logs off the PC and locks her desk. She pushes on the floor with her long legs and slides back. She stands, moving her hands to her waist to adjust her blouse. She smiles at him, looking into his eyes.
“I’d love to have dinner, Mr. Bartz. I’m hungry and you don’t need to worry about this morning. I understand that you were livid with the situation.”
Niko watches her adjust her blouse and grinds his jaw. He moves his hand from his pant’s pocket and takes her hand.
“I’m really sorry, Sofia Rose, for this morning. It was very unprofessional on my part to kiss you. You have every right to resign if you wish so. I would like you not to. I know that what has happened has not been your fault. Please, I ask you to stay.”
Sofia Rose breaths sharply, and takes a step back. Her huge violet eyes expand and shimmer; her small nose twitches, as she inhales his spicy vanilla scent.
“I’ll stay.”
The room is warm and their feelings are running rapid in a fiery frenzy.
“Please call me Niko. Where would you like to go for dinner? I’m not familiar with the town, even though my family has owned property for decades here.”
“Oh, I don’t usually go out to eat. I really don’t know.”
Sofia Rose raises her right hand to push back the purple strand behind her ear. She pulls her hand from his and turns to pick up her purse.
Niko watches her every move and smiles at her delicate movements.
I swear I have never met anyone like her. I love everything about her and I can’t take that step to make her mine. What the hell!
“Sofia Rose, I would love if you had dinner at my home. I know that the cook has something delicious in the oven.”
Sofia Rose’s eyes widen and she smiles a small, excited smile. She grasps her hands together to keep him from noticing her excitement.
“Yes, Mr. Bartz, I would love to have dinner at your home. I understand that it is a historical home, and it would be a pleasure to see it.”
Niko’s body relaxes and he suddenly smiles, returning her smile. His light mint green eyes glow and the silver specks flash erratically with his excitement.
“Sofia Rose, call me Niko. No need for formalities.”
Niko takes a step towards her and takes her hand in his. He looks at her slim delicate hand and raises it to his lips. His lips rest against her veins as he kisses the soft warm wrist, closing his eyes. He counts her heartbeat and inhales deeply.
Sofia Rose’s spicy violet scent sets his body on fire; his cock swells into a throbbing ache. He shudders, opening his eyes, which are full of passion and need.
“I believe it will be a lovely dinner.”
Sofia Rose’s blush covers her face and her violet eyes expand as she gazes into his eyes. She bites her lower lip to control her wild emotions.
I can see his passion and need. I know that he wants me, but I also feel that he pulls away. I wonder why. Does he know that I’m a fairy and doesn’t want me?
Sofia Rose smiles nervously up at him and pulls her hand away from his lips.
Niko smiles, closing his eyes halfway, watching her sudden withdrawal.
