Liza smiles, and waves at him.
“Good morning, Mr. Bartz.”
Niko turns to look at her and nods, smiling a small smile.
“Good morning, Ms. Collins. Nice to meet you.”
Niko walks over to her and extends his hand to greet her.
“I need to leave, but I have reviewed the accounts with Ms. Nielsen. Mr. Bartz will stay to make sure nothing more arises.”
Liza nods, and steps back, clasping her hands. She glances over at Andrei and then at Niko.
“I understand.”
Niko turns to look at Andrei, raising his right eyebrow.
“I’ll call you later for an update,” says Niko.
“Right, no worries,” replies Andrei, smiling.
Niko turns and walks to the door and into the hallway before he teleports to the house to get his paperwork.
Liza turns to look at Andrei and walks over to him. She places her hand on his arm and her eyes roam, searching his.
“I know that you know what’s going on. I need to learn what is happening because I need to protect Sofia Rose. I told you who she is, but you have not told me anything about you and your family. What does your brother want with Sofia Rose?”
Andrei gazes into her beautiful shimmering brown eyes and moves his hand to trace her jawline with his fingers.
“Liza, I will tell you everything about us, but you still have to give me more information. I promise that Sofia Rose is not in danger with us, or Niko.”
“Yeah? I want you to tell me everything as soon as you can.”
Andrei rubs her soft full lips, anxious to kiss her again.
“Will you have dinner with me again?”
Liza takes a step back and stares at him, narrowing her eyes. She crosses her arms, and nods.
“Yes, but promise me that you will tell me everything.”
“Yeah, I promise but you will too,” says Andrei, taking her hand.
Sofia Rose walks into the room and looks at them. She smiles and turns to look for Niko, then her smile disappears. Her eyes tear up and she waves at them.
“Excuse me; I’ll be back.”
Sofia Rose walks down the hall and enters the ladies room to cry. She walks over to the sink and turns on the water. She splashes the water on her face and looks into the mirror.
Fucking hell! I believed him again. He left without waiting for me to leave. How am I supposed to believe him when he disappears? Fuck, this hurts!
Liza walks into the bathroom and stands at the door, looking at Sofia Rose. She crosses her arms and waits for her to dry her face.
“Sofia Rose, are you okay? What’s happening?”
Sofia Rose dries her face and slowly turns to look at Liza. She smiles a small smile, and her eyes tears up again. She blinks to clear her eyes.
“I’m not sure and that scares me. I have a lot to tell you, but now is not the moment.”
