The color drains from her face and she closes her eyes, shaking her head. She raises her hands and covers up her face. Her purple tears fall down her cheeks.
I’m in love with a Vhampier and I don’t know if we can be mates. He said we were mates and I was so happy that he also felt the same. Our souls are one and our hearts beat as one. I know that it couldn’t be a dream. I felt us become one. I’m so scared and confused. I don’t know if he was playing with me. I don’t know much of how the supernatural realm works. If there are taboos in mixing entities. Can I have his baby? Hell, he has to come back. I have to get answers. I need to hurry up and get to work.
A few minutes later Sofia Rose walks out of her apartment, closing the door. She walks down the hallway towards the elevator.
The next moment she walks out of the apartment building and down the walkway, looking down the street.
“Yeah, Bella is open. I’m getting some coffee and my favorite cupcakes.”
She walks down the walkway and then crosses the street.
The cute bakery store is full of tantalizing smells and different coffees. Arabella Franklin stands behind the counter of her bakery, smiling at her patrons. TheBella’s Bake Shopis known by the town residents of Saint’s Grove asBella’s.
Sofia Rose stands right behind the police office clerk, Annie Smith. She twists her neck, looks at the display case, and then nods, smiling.
Oh yeah, she has some chocolate chip muffins. Sometimes she runs out.
Bella helps Annie with coffee and a donut. She reaches over to the cash register to ring her up. A few minutes later Sofia Rose stands at the counter. She smiles and raises her right hand to push a strand of purple hair from her face.
“Morning, Bella. How is it going?”
Bella smiles, flushes, and grabs a paper bag. “It’s really busy. Every day I thank you for the loan.”
“Bella, I’m pleased to hear that.”
“Sofia Rose, would you like to take these two chocolate chip muffins?”
“Of course I do, you know it!”
“Yes, I do but you never know when the folks decide to try something different.”
“Yeah, I understand!”
Bella reaches into the display case. She carefully removes the two muffins.
They chat for a minute while Bella packs up two chocolate chip muffins, and coffee.
“Here you go, Sofia Rose. Enjoy. They’re fresh from the oven.”
“I will. Thanks, Bella.”
Sophia Rose takes the bag from Bella, smiling. She nods at her and turns to leave the small bakery shop. She inhales deeply, savory the smell, and her mouth waters. She’s anxious to taste the incredible muffins.
The Bartz Bank is empty in the early hours of morning, but the manager’s light is on. Niko sits in the black leather armchair, leaning back. His head falls back, and the strong muscular neck is exposed. His jugular vein twitches erratically.
Hell, fucking hell! I can’t get her fucking pussy out of my mind! Now, I’m here in her office. Her scent is infused everywhere, and I can’t escape it. It’s excruciating painful and, at the same time, heaven.
Sofia Rose has an amazing spicy violet scent that simply drives me insane. How in the fuck am I going to ignore this fucking intoxicating scent? I did claim her last night. I had to leave her early in the morning because I had to take care of my mission. It didn’t take long. I wonder what she’s thinking and feeling. Is she pissed off?
Andrei Bartz glances down at the watch to check the Earth realm time. He leans against the doorframe, squinting his glowing dark green eyes; the silver sparks flash.
“Niko, you need to tell me now what is tormenting you. Maybe I can help.”
Niko grinds his molars, shakes his head, as his eyes roam rapidly below his eyelid.
“Later, Andy. Ms. Nielsen will be here any second.”
Andrei shakes his head, smiling a small smile. He pushes away from the door and walks over to Niko.
