Niko frowns, and turns around to walk over to the small bar in his room. He takes a crystal glass from the counter and grabs the whiskey decanter. He pulls off the top and pours some whiskey into the crystal glass. He watches the golden liquid swirl around the glass.
Sofia Rose crosses her arms under the breasts, watching him, biting her lower lip.
What the fuck! I need him to tell him everything! Why does he run from me?
Niko takes the glass, closes his eyes, and drinks the whiskey in one drink, throwing back his head. The thick neck muscles flex as the liquid flows down his throat.
Sofia Rose watches him, squinting her eyes, taking in every detail.
“Well?”
Niko moves his head, opens his eyes, and nods. He slams the crystal glass on the bar counter and walks over to the window. He leans against the wall and looks out into the dark mountainside.
“I’m a Vhampier Senator and also the eldest in my family. My sire passed a year ago, but he left a will. The vast amount of work and commitments as a Senator and the family business constricted my time. I delayed the reading of the will. I finally made the appointment with the family attorney. My sire stipulated that I marry within a year and to conceive a babe.”
Niko turns around and looks at her. He gazes into her huge startled eyes and slowly smiles.
“I only have a few weeks to marry.”
“Oh my sweet fairy goddess!”
“Yes, that’s what I thought! It gets better. I met you and realized that you’re my mate and I didn’t know much about you! That’s what I was fighting! My innate nature of claiming my mate and the family obligations!”
“Oh my! What are we going to do?”
Sofia Rose raises her hands up to her head and runs her hands through her long hair. She closes her eyes tight and the tears run down her cheeks.
Niko walks over to her and pulls her into his arms. He buries his face in her neck, shaking, full of emotions.
“I decided to claim you and to have my brother fulfill the will, if possible!”
Sofia Rose pushes against his chest and looks up into his face, leaning against his arms.
“What? Is it possible?”
“I don’t know, but I don’t think that it matters. When I returned to claim you I found that you had disappeared, but I also learned that you’re a Fairy Princess!”
Niko moves his arms, and slides his right hand over and up across her tummy to reach her face, and a red aura glows. He stops to look down at red aura, frowning.
Sofia Rose looks down too, raising her eyebrows. She pushes away and scowls at him.
“What the hell is going on? What are you doing?”
Niko slowly smiles and walks over to her. He rests his hands on her shoulders, rubbing his thumbs on her soft skin.
“Sweet baby, I’m not doing anything to you. It’s only that you’re having my babe. That’s my babe’s aura.”
“What?”
Niko nods, and pulls her into his arms, laughing. He kisses her temple and holds her tight, twirling her around and around.
Sofia Rose holds on tight to his wide shoulders, wide-eyed. She frowns and closes her eyes.
What the hell did he say? I’m having his babe? Is it possible?
“Is that possible? Are we really mates?”
Niko stops and holds her close, kissing all over her face. He then slowly kisses her, sliding his velvety tongue inside hers. He kisses her deeply, claiming every single nook.
