“Chris, I feel the same, and it’s about fucking time that we’re together,” I scuff, lowering my eyelids halfway.

“Let’s get some food, and then we can see the movie,” Chris says, nodding.

“Yes, because I’m starving, let me get my coat,” I say, nodding.

“Indeed,” Chris says, turning up his lips.

He takes my hand, and we walk out of his office. Walk into the living room, releasing his hand, I walk over to grab my coat, pulling it on, and my purse.

Chris pulls on his jacket, adjusts the collar, and holds out his hand.

I take his hand; we walk out of the apartment down the hallway.

“Oh my god, you live close to Fisherman’s Wharf. I want to see the sea lions,” I say, looking at him smiling. I can feel the flush in my face; I’m so damn excited. You would think that because I live in San Francisco, I’ve been there, not.

We get into his beamer; he finds a parking lot, we get out. Chris slides his arm over my shoulder, pulling me close as we walk down the street towards Pier 39.

“I want to get a sourdough bowl with clam chowder,” I say, leaning into his side looking up at him.

“Fuck yes, that does sound good,” Chris says, smiling, leans in to kiss me.

“What about you? Have you been here,” I ask, furrowing my forehead?

“Nah, like you, I’ve been too busy; my parents didn’t bring us when we were younger. But know, we’re going to enjoy this together,” Chris says, pulling me into his arms, hugging me close.

“Yes, we’re going to experience this together,” I say breathlessly, gazing into his beautiful eyes.

We get distracted taking photos, walking into the waterfront shops, and then grabbing the clam chowder.

“Yes, this is really good,” I say, taking a piece of the bread and dunking it into the soup.

“Oh yeah, this stuff is great,” Chris says, taking a spoonful of chowder.

After we’re done eating, we walk down Pier 39 to watch the sea lions. We take photos and watch the little kids yell when they see the sea lions.

We then walk down the street, looking at the street performers. Chris hugs me close because it’s now fucking cold.

“Baby, I’m so cold. Could we go back home and watch a movie on the TV,” I say, trembling as I pull into his side.

“Yes, that sounds like a plan. I can order some pizza,” Chris says, chuckling into my neck.

“Okay, let’s go,” I say, looking up, blinking my eyes.

Chris takes my hand; we walk around the crowd and down the street towards the beamer.

We get back to his apartment; Chris starts a fire while I take off my boots and jacket.

“Baby, can I get a blanket,” I say, rubbing my arms to warm up.

“Yeah, it’s the closet,” Chris says, chuckling. He pushes off from the carpet and takes off his jacket.

I run to get the blanket and return, falling onto the sofa.

“Baby, I had so much fun today,” I say, leaning into the sofa.

“I enjoyed our outing, and I especially love spending time with you,” Chris says, smiling walks over, falling in next to me.

I grab the remote control, turn on the TV, searching for a movie to watch.
