The sooner I claim her, the sooner I can keep her at my side and protect her from the Rogues.

I can’t believe that I have such a great story, the attack, but I can’t write it up because the boss doesn’t want to hear it.
It’s nothing but crap.
I run my fingers through my hair, closing my eyes, inhaling deeply, and exhaling. I count to ten to wait a few more minutes to start writing the other story I have on a ten-year-old girl that baked some cupcakes and gave them away to the homeless. That’s sweet; it just breaks my heart. I go to the desk; I grab my laptop and purse. I walk out of the office to my home to write my paper. I get home, and it takes me a couple of hours to write up the story, and then I email it to the boss.
I lean back, running my fingers through my hair, rubbing my scalp, and closing my eyes. my eyes. I need to look for my dress for Lisa’s funeral in a few days.
It’s so sad that she’s gone; she didn’t get to enjoy her dreams of getting married, having a child, and being a great mom. Instead, she was a good friend, daughter, and sister. She worked hard as a realtor; she enjoyed helping people with their homes. I’m so glad that I have my next stories lined up to write so I can focus on the here and now.
Bull crap!
I’m going to be late to meet Kon for lunch if I don’t stop sulking.
It's so fucking amazing that I met a gorgeous man, definitely an alpha man, but he’s sweet. So that’s incredible, right.
I change my low heel shoes for my sexy booties and apply my red lipstick.
Yes, now I look sexy.
I walk out of the apartment, down the walkway to the Mexican restaurant a few blocks away.
That’s what I love about living in the downtown area because we have tons of restaurants, bars, and clubs to enjoy during our downtime and within walking distance.
I walk into the restaurant looking for Kon, the hottie. That man also has an amazing shade of blue eyes; they look purple.
I look at the corner table; he waves at me with a stunning smile. It should be against the law to be so hot.
“Hey Princess,” Kon says, getting up to help me with the chair.
Geeze, that’s new for me. I didn’t know that men did that anymore.
“Hi, Kon, I hope that you weren’t waiting long,” I ask, smiling warmly at him.
“Princess, it’s been only a few minutes, but I can’t wait to eat because I’m starving,” Kon says, taking his seat.
“Yes, let’s order. I recommend that you try everything; it’s all good,” I say, grabbing the menu.
“Is that right? Which one is your favorite,” Kon asks, looking at me over the menu?
I swear those eyes reach into my soul; the connection is powerful. I’ve never felt it before.
“Oh, I love the Chile Rellenos, and of course the tacos,” I say, grinning.
“Okay, I’m going to order both,” Kon says, chuckling.
I love that he’s charming and warm, not uptight and crude.
“Princess, did you write your story,” Kon asks, placing the menu on the side, giving me his full attention.
Fuck!
That blows my mind because I’ve never had a man as gorgeous as Kon give me the time of day.
