“I’m just cleaning it,” he bent down and whispered before kissing my ear. A chill shot through my body as his warm breath touched my ear.
Once he was finished cleaning the area, I relaxed my body and let him do his thing.

“This is so cute!” I gushed, looking in the mirror at the tattoo on my shoulder.
Ahmad drew a sunflower with a Scorpio symbol under it for my birthday. The yellow sunflower looked good against my skin tone.
“Why the sunflower?” I asked him.
We had been here for over four hours and I was ready to go shower and get in bed. I had to work in the morning and wasn’t looking forward to it.
“Longevity, happiness, and luck.” Ahmad stepped closer to me. He hugged me from behind and turned me so we were facing the mirror.
“Luck because everyone could use some good fortune in their life.” He kissed the top of my shoulder. “Happiness because you deserve it.” He kissed my cheek.
“And longevity?”
“That one’s more selfish. I’m hoping that’ll happen with you and me.” Our eyes connected in the mirror. My heart rate began to speed up,my stomach did backflips. My breath slowed down as Ahmad stared at me lovingly. He moved his hand up my stomach towards my chest, brushing against it softly until he got to my neck. He wrapped his hand around my hip, gripping it firmly. His other hand went around my waist, and he pulled me deeper into him, making sure to watch out for my shoulder.
My mind went blank as my body melted from a simple touch. Leaning on Ahmad’s chest, I could feel his heartbeat. Ahmad’s eyes stayed glued to mine. He gripped the bottom of my face and turned it to face him.
Leaning down, he kissed me slowly but hungrily. Slowly I turned my body to his.
He bent down and grabbed my thighs, lifting me up, and wrapping my legs around his waist. He backed my back against the mirror. Flinching slightly from my shoulder hitting it, I wrapped my arms around his neck.
This kiss felt different than any other time I kissed Ahmad. It was slow and loving. My body was on fire, this fuzzy feeling filled my body, and a calmness took over me. My heart seemed to skip as our kiss deepened.
“I want that too,” I whispered softly against his mouth. I couldn’t believe I had been robbing myself of feeling this my whole life. The feeling of being wanted, of someone putting you first, caring about your well-being, and making sure to keep a smile on your face. Guys have tried to show me they cared for me, but they never made me feel like Ahmad did.
“It’s me and you.” His words assuring, covering me like a warm blanket.
“Me and you.” We kissed again.

“I’m never on time,”I mumbled, running the gel through my hair to set my curls. I was supposed to be at Ahmad’s house ten minutes ago, and I was still in the process of doing my hair.
Bending my head forward, I scrunched my hair up and stood up to fluff it out. I smiled at my curly fro. I had done light makeup, nothing over the top, with all-natural colors.
“Okay, I’m ready.”
I don’t know why I was so nervous as if Ahmad and I hadn’t been out before. I guess it was the fact that this was our first real date. I walked to my bed to grab my overnight bag and phone when it started ringing.
“Ahmad, I’m on my way!” I answered without looking at the screen.
“Fatima?” I froze.
Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath before opening them. Pulling the phone from my ear, I looked at my screen, cursing under my breath.
“Yeah?” I said dryly. Walking to my dresser, I grabbed my keys and headed out of my room.
“I didn’t expect you to answer. How are you?”
Rolling my eyes, I debated whether to hang up or not.
“I’m good, Dan.”
