Otto chuckles and pats her back. I watch Lincoln. He grimaces, but the corners of his lips twitch.
“Stay with Matt,” I say, digging a hundred out of my wallet. “Pay for dinner so his mom doesn’t have to, and call us if you think of anything about the challenge.”
The words are out before I realize I’m totally overstepping. I quickly look at Kat, but she doesn’t seem upset or offended.
“We’re gonna have to soundproof the walls,” she moans into her hands.
“No, we’ll just move into Damian’s place.” Otto shrugs. “He’s got a penthouse downtown,” he adds in explanation for Lincoln. “Plenty of room there to spread out, so you won’t hear a thing.”
Lincoln shudders, then takes the money I hold out to him with a quiet, “Thanks.”
Once he’s out of the room, I sit down next to Kat. “What do you want to do tonight, love? Can I order us some food or something?”
“I’m not hungry.” She shakes her head. “I need a distraction.”
Otto gives me a look and raises his eyebrows. I know exactly what he has in mind. It might be a stretch for Kat, but it’ll definitely keep us from overthinking for a few hours. I give him a quick nod.
He claps his hands with a wide grin. “Sounds like we’re going to The Black Wing.”
Chapter 26
Kat
Ineverimaginedgoingtoa sex club. Okay, yeah, I’ve read about them in romance books—I’m a single mom, who doesn’t date, and has a high sex drive, of course I read smut. But I never thought I’d actually be standing in a place like this.
After signing a bunch of paperwork and having the colored bracelets that signal what your boundaries are explained to me, the guys lead me into a room that’s set up like a bar. But unlike a typical bar, there’s a small stage at the front of the room where a half-naked man is dancing around a pole.
“What exactly are we doing here?” I twirl the black bracelet around my wrist. It’s the one that lets people know I’m already spoken for and unavailable.
“Well, you haven’t punished Otto for taking away your choice yet, have you?” Damian whispers, stepping in front of my line of sight so I can’t see the man on stage.
I glance over at Otto and find him looking back at me with an eagerness that surprises me. “You want that?”
“Fuck yes.” He crowds close to my side.
My eyebrows pull down, but a little thrill of excitement rushes through me. “You want me to punish you?” I check again, but this time he doesn’t answer. His eyes roll back, and he groans. I wrap my fingers around the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer. “Should I spank you for being such a bad boy?”
“I think he deserves more than a spanking,” Damian growls so low I’m sure we’re the only ones who can hear him. He glances down at the yellow bracelet on Otto’s wrist, which means he’s comfortable with degradation. “Do you want this to be public or private?”
Otto shivers, his eyes burning with fire before he closes them and takes a deep breath. “Public,” he whispers.
Once again, I’m surprised by my young mate.
Damian’s attention shifts to me. “Are you okay with that, love?”
I shift nervously, looking around the room. It’s not particularly crowded, but it’s definitely not empty. “I’m not sure. What exactly are we going to do? And… where?”
Over Damian’s shoulder, I can just barely see the face of the man dancing on the stage. The song ends, and scattered applause fills the room.
“Not there.” Damian grabs my chin and directs my focus back to him. “There are private rooms with windows so people can watch while I make Otto pay for stealing my mate.”
I lick my lips. I never thought exhibitionism would be my thing, but a thrill tunnels through my body at Damian’s crude suggestion. “H-how are you going to do that?”
“That’s up to you.”
“Fuck, can we stop talking and start playing? Please, beauty. I need—”
“Shut up,” Damian snaps, sharper than a whip. “You don’t get to tell us what you need.” He grabs Otto by the throat, and my lungs constrict, for a moment forgetting that Otto asked for this, wants this. “You’re gonna be a good boy and do exactly what we tell you to do or you’ll get double whatever punishment Kat chooses for you.”
