Blake and Ollie are smart enough to recognize the signs—there are enough sparks between them to melt glass—but they agree to put a lid on it until the article is finished. Much easier said than done when they’re forced to spend more time together than apart. There’s more going on than a simple interview, but they’re both professionals. They must resist temptation or risk unravelling both their lives.

Legacy of Temptation
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. If you’re into paranormal anything, you need to read Larissa Ione. She creates one-of-a-kind, gritty, sexy worlds, and this book is a turning point in her canon. It’s where everything begins for the new generation—and wowzer, does it start with a bang!
Legacy of Temptation brings together the best of what I love in this genre (even though, as I said, it can be hard for me to get into it for obvious reasons!): danger, desire, and high stakes drama that hits hard because the rules of the world sustain great conflict. And it’s totally relatable. Yeah, the characters navigate supernatural threats, but what grounds the story aretheir emotional connections: what they’re willing to sacrifice, and who they become in the process of the story. That kind of stuff just resonates with everybody.
Also, don’t worry if you’re starting with this one. You don’t need to read everything else. Ione always knows how to pull you into her universe, and despite this technically being a spin-off of her interconnected Demonica and Four Horsemen series, it’s actually a great entry point for anyone who wants to try her as an author!
Bold, sexy, and impossible to put down,Legacy of Temptationabsolutely delivers.
Here’s the blurb!
The legacy continues...
It’s a gritty new world.
Three decades after the events of REAPER, the world is a different place. The secret is out. The existence of demons, vampires, shapeshifters, and angels has been revealed, and humans are struggling to adapt. Out of the chaos, The Aegis has risen to global power on the promise of containing or exterminating all underworlders, even if that means ushering in the End of Days.
Standing in their way is the next generation of warriors, the children of demons and angels and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
See how they become legends in their own right.
Legacy of Temptation
Eva Tennant, like everyone at The Aegis, hates demons. But she loves her job as Deputy Spokesperson for the globaldemon-slaying organization, and she's excited to be in the running for Chief Spokesperson. All she has to do is not screw up the two-week exchange program with The Aegis's rival agency, the Demon Activity Response Team. But things go horribly wrong when a murder turns her into a fugitive from justice and puts a demonic target on her back.
Logan, son of the Horseman of the Apocalypse known as Death, has dedicated his life to fighting demons alongside his colleagues at DART. He loves fighting, females, and his pet hellhound, Cujo. What he doesn't love is The Aegis, whose leadership attempted to slaughter him at birth. Understandably, he balks when he's ordered to protect an Aegis Guardian responsible for the deaths of his friends. Really, he'd rather feed her to Cujo.
But when an old enemy rises from the ashes, Eva and Logan find themselves giving into temptation even as they sacrifice the things...and people...they love the most.

Kitchen Corner with Fritz
As everybody who reads the series knows, Fritz Perlmutter, butler extraordinaire to the Brotherhood, can do anything. Need someone to drive like he’s on a Formula 1 track? Throw him the keys. Vacuum something? He’s got the Dyson. Snowblow? Show him your sidewalk. He can open a swimming pool for the season, close down a house for winter, darn socks, dam a river, dig a ditch, bury a body—um, scratch that last one. (Even though it’s true.) But his primary duty is running the very best royal household there is outside of Buckingham Palace.
Aside from managing all thedoggenstaff and making sure everything is running perfectly from a facilities point of view, he takes great personal pride in setting the menus! There were only a couple of his recipes in the newsletters, but I thought it would be nice to share a whole typical night’s worth of meals! I can totally see all this being prepared in the Wheel’s main kitchen, although we’ve cut these down to serve six-ish people, as opposed to the thirty that are routinely cooked for in the books. We also made a few, time-saving alterations for busy humans (thank you, Pillsbury!).
