Maybe I should feel intimidated, but I love being surrounded by them.

Each of them touches me in some way, as if unable to resist the impulse. Like they’re communicating with each other, Tobias takes the lead, drawing my attention. “While we might look human, it’s an illusion. It’s a survival mechanism—a way for us to blend in with polite society.

“We’re faster and stronger than humans, our every sense enhanced. We heal from almost everything and are impervious to diseases.” He eyes me for a second, then purses his lips and continues bluntly, “Not even our cocks are the same.”

I can only blink at him, then my eyes automatically drop to his crotch, as if I can see through his pants. Then I glance over my shoulder at Castle, recalling memories of our midnight rendezvous.

Tobias seems to read my mind. “Do you remember anything being…different?”

I can only gape at him, then my filters fail and my awkwardness makes an appearance. “Isn’t that part of some sort of bro code or something? Never look or even ask about another man’s dick? Like you never tell a woman if her breasts are a little wonky.”

Now both men are staring at me funny, a look of confusion and horror on their faces. A rumble comes from Castle as he inches closer, a full glare on his face. “Tell me who insulted your gorgeous breasts, and I’ll hunt them down and rip their eyes out of their sockets and their tongue out of their mouth for insulting you.”

“Wait…why would you assume we’re talking about my boobs?” I’m suddenly very conscious of wearing only a bra, and I resist the urge to both preen and cross my arms over my chest.

Tobias’ gaze drops to my breasts, and he traces his fingers along the top edges of my bra, his touch barely skimming my skin. “Your breasts are perfect.”

His touch affects me so deeply, he might as well have burned me. My nipples harden, and I shiver, not sure if it’s his touch or his husky voice that affects me more.

While I’m slightly bewitched by their comments, I can only shake my head, wondering how we got so off track. I frown and wave away the threats of violence. “Er…I think we need to go back and focus on the original question.”

Castle purses his lips, almost like he’s pouting, but he allows the change in conversation. He glances at Tobias, then shrugs. “Maybe it would be easier to show her.”

I’m not sure if he is asking or telling, and my eyes widen at the idea of them playing show-and-tell with me regarding their dicks. Maybe I should be a good little human and protest, but I never really considered myself good, even when I was still a human. I bite my lip to keep from saying anything that might jinx me.

Tobias’ blue eyes turn naughty, a wicked little smirk on his face, and he lifts a brow in challenge as he reaches for his pants.

I snort that he thinks I’m stupid enough to stop him, and I wiggle in my seat, settling in for the show. Castle shifts behind me, and I suddenly feel uncertain. I glance at him over my shoulder, doubts eating away at my confidence. I’m about to look at another man’s cock when my mate of only a few hours is sitting right next to me.

As if he can sense my unease, he flashes me a tiny grin, like he knows something I don’t. I narrow my eyes on him, but he only nips at my bottom lip before pulling back and nudging my chin toward Tobias. “Just watch.”

I resist his prodding, concern for him sparking in my chest. As much as I’m drawn toward Tobias, I won’t do anything that would hurt Castle. “I’m not sure I understand. You’re my mate…right?”

The last thing I want is to pit the men against each other. They’ve been alive longer than I can comprehend and friends even longer than I’ve been alive.

Not wanting to fuck anything between them, I’m not sure how to react.

I peer deep into Castle’s eyes, trying to see the truth. His lips curl slightly, his expression softens, and any lingering tension in his body melts away. He slowly leans in closer, bumping his nose against mine in a cutesy gesture.

“That you’re worried I would be jealous just proves how perfect you are for us.” He slants his mouth over mine and proceeds to kiss the daylights out of me in a way that leaves my heart pounding and my head spinning.

It’s brutal, a Viking claiming his prize, and it’s over way too soon.

He only pulls back a little, his chest heaving, his green eyes glowing, revealing he’s just as affected. “Wolves are used to sharing a mate. Males usually create their own family packs as they wait, drawn to each other, as if sensing the possible connection. Normally, if one finds a mate, it’s the same mate for them all.”

Glancing between the two men, I try to sense if they’re lying, but they both remain steady as they wait for my verdict. I tip my head to the side, sensing the easy camaraderie between them. “So you always expected to share a mate?”

“Fuck no.” Tobias snorts, and Castle actually cracks a smile, shaking his head.

Castle takes back the lead. “We’re both alphas. It’s unusual for two alphas to be around each other for long periods of time without coming to blows.”

A furrow forms between my brows as I frown at them. “Then I’m not sure I understand.”

Tobias captures my wrist, rubbing his thumb back and forth over my pulse, as if sensing my agitation and unable to resist soothing me. “After working together for years, we’ve come to a sort of truce, forming a different kind of pack link. We’re old. Ancients of our kind. Our wolves had given up hope of finding a mate…until you.”

Tobias gives Castle a look, and he easily takes over. “Our wolves know the instant we met our mate. It’s a combination of smell and otherworldly compatibility.”

A pulse of pain simmers in my chest, and I can’t help but lean into Castle. “Are you sure that I’m your mate?”
