“What do you mean?”

“The moment this was taken,” He pointed at the photo, “I had just apologized for not being able to tie my tie correctly—My dad has been trying to teach me for years and I still don’t know how. You laughed and said, ‘That’s why you have me. I’ve got your back.’ And you retied my tie. I’m pretty sure that was the moment I saw you—really saw you as something else. The shutter remote was in my hand and I just pressed it. I wanted to find a way to hold on to that moment forever.”

“Julian,” I whispered with tears in my eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because, Dee, you were—”

“Seventeen,” I said in a watery chuckle.

“Seventeen,” he repeated with a smile and leaned closer.

“Well, I’m twenty-five now.” I placed Julian’s hand on my thigh and leaned closer.

“Oh, I know.” He closed the distance between us and our lips met. I tilted my head to the side and brought our faces closer.

Julian wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his lap. His tongue slipped into my open mouth and I sighed as our bodies melted together. This kiss was eight years in the making and I wanted to feel every ounce of sensation. He reclined on his back on the bed of the truck and I broke our kiss to reposition myself and straddle him. My eyes went wide at the giant bulge in his jeans.

“Whoa,” I whispered to myself as I ran my fingertips over the ridge in his jeans.

“Careful,” Julian whispered after a soft hiss, “he’s sensitive.”

“Julian?” I scooted my body forward so the juncture of my thighs was positioned over his hips.

“Yeah?”

“How long until the tow truck comes?” I glanced around the surrounding woods. It was completely deserted. Julian looked at his watch before he answered.

“At least two hours.” He grinned up at me causing a fluttering in my belly and tingling between my thighs. “Why?” he asked but I suspected he knew exactly what I was thinking.

“How much kissing can we get done in two hours?” I leaned forward and brushed my lips over his. Julian skated his fingertips over my bare skin under my t-shirt, causing me to shiver in the mild summer heat.

“I think we can get a lot of things done in two hours.” He kissed me again. “What did you have in mind?”

I grinned and covered his mouth with mine. We made out like teenagers in the bed of Julian’s truck, clawing and pawing at each other through our clothes. Julian rolled me onto my back and looked down at me, grinning.

“Damn girl.” He broke our kiss. “Listen, I should tell you something before we go any further…” His face was serious.

“Okay…” My stomach knotted wondering what Julian was about to tell me. This moment felt too perfect.

“I’m attracted to men and women.” He looked nervous as his eyes raked my face for a reaction.

“So, you’re bi?” I asked. I had no idea. Of course, my brother and I would have no reason to discuss Julian’s dating life. No reason that made sense.

“Yeah, I am. Would you have any issues with that?”

“No, of course not.” I smiled up at him. His face split into a wide grin and he kissed me again. “Would you have any issues with me being bi?” I raised an eyebrow.

“You are?” he asked and I nodded. “Well, that’s not gonna work for me.” His expression was serious for a second, making my heart stop, before his face split into another grin. I narrowed my eyes at him and slapped him in the chest.

“Ha ha,” I deadpanned. “But there is one thing…” I tucked my bottom lip between my teeth.

“Anything,” he whispered and I hoped he meant it.

“I’m monogamous and I expect anyone I date to be monogamous too. I mean, no shade if you aren’t—it’s definitely not for everybody— but it’s really important to me.” I tucked my bottom lip between my teeth and waited for his response.

“Do I get to be monogamous with you?” He smiled down at me and brushed a curl away from my forehead.

“Do you want to be monogamous with me?” I asked.
