Me
You make me seriously HARD, wreckage.
I smirk, watching him furiously try to simultaneously text and push his way through the crowd toward the bar. I quickly sneak up close behind him, and he almost drops his phone when I grab his ass.
“Thefuck!” he snaps, whirling on me and grabbing a fistful of my shirt.
I just grin.
“Round two right here on the dancefloor?” I growl. He turns pink as I take a step closer to him. “Youkinkymotherfu?—”
“Roman!!!”
I startle at the sound of Milena’s voice. Roman’s hand drops from my shirt, and we both turn.
Something’s seriously wrong.
At first, all I see is my friend rushing toward us. Then I spot Laz and Bane, supporting a totally unconscious Evelina between them.
“The FUCK!?!”
Roman’s voice booms through the club as he charges over to meet them, with me right behind.
“The fuck happened?!” he roars.
“I think she got roofied!” Milena shrieks, her face panicked as she rushes to my side and grabs my arm. “She just…she started to look sleepy and then blacked out?—”
Suddenly Evie wakens, just enough to straighten up, then double over and puke all over Roman’s shoes. She groans, but then rolls her head up, looking at Roman with out-of-focus eyes and a sloppy grin on her face.
“Roooooman…” she giggles. “I think I messed up your cool shooooes.”
I exhale swiftly, stepping forward and squatting to peer into her face.
“She hasn’t been drugged,” I growl.
Her eyes meet mine, and she grins again.
“Heeeeey, Val…” she giggles. “C’mere. I got asecretto tell you…” She trails off, then immediately shuts her eyes and sags between Bane and Laz.
Roman is scowling as I stand and turn to look at him. “She’sshitfaced.”
Milena exhales heavily. “ThankGod.” She turns and winces as she looks at Roman. “I’m so sorry, Rome. I don’t how she got like that! I’m always watching her?—”
“It’s fine, Milena,” Roman growls. He steps forward, scooping his sister into his arms and cradling her against his chest. “I’ll take her home.”
“My car is right out front,” Bane offers.
“Great. Let’s go.”
I start to fall into step next to Roman, but he halts suddenly and turns.
“I got it,” he grunts, his eyes locked on mine, darkness swirling in them.
“I’ll come with?—”
“Just stay here.”
I frown. “Dude, she’s my friend?—”
