I tenderly wash her, and rinse her off placing a kiss on her clit.

“Liam,” I hear her moan, but I’m too busy not being able to stop at giving her one small kiss. I bring my tongue in to work her up, not wanting to use my fingers and hurt her even more. When her legs are finished quivering, I release her leg and stand back up. She dives for me and kisses me as if I’m her last breath of fresh air, and I take as much as she’s willing to give.

Chapter Twenty-Two

Everly

I have a pep in my step and my cheeks hurt from smiling all day. Liam texted me while I was in my final class of the day asking me to come directly over after school and that he has a surprise for me. I can’t imagine what he has for me. He’s done way too much as it is.

I leave school and head straight to his house, hoping one day his home will become our home. After everything he’s said recently, it has me hoping and dreaming these wishes will come true. I know after I graduate from cosmetology classes, he’ll be leaving for a month. I’m sad he’s having to go and finish out his contract, but I also know he can’t back out of it either.

It only takes me fifteen minutes and I’m pulling into his garage. Something he was adamant about always using when I come over. He wants me safe and out of the elements. I grab my bag I packed with more of my clothes. It seems every time I come over I’m leaving more of my clothes here, and my closet at my house is steadily dwindling.

I walk into the house and the smell of fresh paint assaults my senses. I remember Liam saying he was working on the house today, but I know he still had drywall to put up beforehand.

“Everly,” I hear Liam call out my name.

“Where are you?” I ask. His voice is echoing through the house.

“In the bathroom down the hall,” he hollers back. I make my way to him, trying to figure out what he’s been up to. I thought he was at Pete’s most of the week so he couldn’t have been doing much work at the house.

“Holy cow!” I exclaim as I walk into the bathroom. The whole bathroom is remodeled.

There’s wood like tile on the floor, a brand new vanity, the stand-up shower has subway tile on the walls, and is surrounded in glass, but what really steals my breath away is the claw foot tub. I’m absolutely in awe. I can already see myself using it after a long day from work. What I really visualize in our future is our children splashing around in the tub while playing and pretending it’s a swimming pool too. I can’t wait to have memories like that surrounding us.

“This is so beautiful,” I breathe out while spinning in circles not knowing where I should focus my vision on first. I finally take it all in and then launch myself into Liam’s arms.

“You like it?” he murmurs.

“Like it? Liam, I’m in love with it. I don’t even know where to begin. When did you finish this? I thought you were working on Pete’s house all week.” I’m rushing out all of my questions and waiting for him to respond.

“Glad you like it, Everly. Wanted to make sure the house was done before I had to go overseas. I need to talk to you about something,” he says with an ominous tone in his voice.

“Okay,” I drawl out.

“It’s nothing bad, Baby. I just want you to know why I’m rushing to get the house finished before the end of the month. I want you to move in. I know it hasn’t been that long, but I want you here. I want to know you’re here in our home, safe and sound. I don’t want you on the wrong side of town in a vehicle that may or may not break down and no one is around to help you out while I’m gone. Swear to Christ, if something happened while I was gone, I could never live with myself,” Liam states and I have the biggest smile on my face.

“Yes, I’ll move in,” I squeal as I jump into his arms and he picks me up as if I was made to be in his arms.

“Good, glad you said yes because I already moved your things this morning while you were in class,” he states.

“It’s good I’m a sure thing.” I say with a wink. I’m still in Liam’s arms, and he starts walking towards what is now our room.

I’m thrown on the bed and Liam comes in between my now spread legs. His lips meet mine and we spend our afternoon in bed.
