“Of course. I’m assuming for the Fourteenth of February?”
“Yes, please.”
“Follow me, and I’ll get your total and the address for your delivery,” she says and god damn am I thankful for having to follow her. Her ass is just as amazing as everything else on her body. I can imagine my cock sliding between her ass now. I subtly make sure my suit jacket covers my hard on, a hard on that won’t go away now.
Chapter Two
Amelia
When I heard the bell chime while I was in the back, I didn’t think I’d be coming face to face with a Greek god. This man is fan your vagina hot. He’s tall, taller than I am, even at my tall height of five foot six with three-inch heels on. He must be well over six foot tall. His hair is haphazardly laying around on his head, and the color is dark. Not chocolate dark, but almost jet black. His black Armani suit is tailored to perfection. Too bad he’s ordering flowers for another woman, a woman he clearly knows very well. I mean what guy knows the name of the flowers he wants to get for a woman. I’ve owned this shop since before my grandmother passed away and I have yet to see a man come in and know all the names of the flowers he wants made into an arrangement.
I miss my grandmother and there isn’t a day I’m not thankful for her. This shop has become my life. Her name was Birdie and she was a fighter, a survivor, and the best woman in all of Fallhaven, a small town here on the East Coast. The ocean is only a ten-minute walk and being that Spring is right around the corner, the town’s colors are starting to change. Dusk is happening later and later and it makes for one of my favorite times of the year.
Looking back at the man that is still shamelessly taking my breath away, I give him a pen and note for the bouquet of flowers he’s ordering.
“If you could just fill this out for me. I’ll make sure to have it included in your delivery.”
“Thanks, I appreciate that.”
I look down at his hands, they’re long, lean, and tan. His handwriting is fluid with slash marks. It’s strong and beautiful, just like the rest of this man. He’s the most handsome man I’ve seen in the flesh.
He hands me the note, I glance at it quickly and put it with his invoice. I ring up his purchase and tell him the total. He doesn’t even blink when I state, “That will be two-hundred and thirty-five dollars and sixty cents.”
He hands me his credit card, our fingers barely grazing each other. I can imagine his hands on me, holding me as we watch the sunrise, when we’re in bed together and his hands caressing me. I shake my head out of a trance and process his transaction.
“Thank you for your purchase, you’re all set.”
“Thank you. You’re doing me a solid,” he responds.
“It’s what I’m here for,” I say with a wide smile. I look around and I know chaos will be ensuing in the upcoming weeks, even with it only being the first week of January we seem to always have early birds, yet I love every minute of it.
“Hey, I don’t know what your plans are for lunch, but I’d love to take you out,” he states.
“Um, thanks, but uh, I don’t think that will be possible. Ever,” I say strongly.
“You don’t ever want lunch, or you just don’t want lunch with me?”
“I think it’s best we don’t eat lunch together.”
“Why is that?” he grumbles.
“You just ordered flowers for your significant other. You shouldn’t even be asking me to lunch!” I say and turn around to go to the back of the store to get other orders ready for today.
Chapter Three
Damien
This woman, I’m trying not to laugh behind her back. I mean I can see why she would think the flowers are for another woman, if she only knew. Instead of going after her like every instinct in my body tells me to, I leave my business card and write out “If you EVER feel like lunch, I’d love to take you.”
I turn to leave when I hear her singing. I stop to listen and she’s way off tune. It’s a love song, it’s perfect for this time of year. I only wish I could see if she’s dancing while singing. Leaving her is much harder than I ever thought it would be, knowing I won’t get to have her in my presence right away is enough to jolt my mind into action on ways to make it happen.
I head back to the office to formulate a plan. I need Amelia in my life and I’ll stop at nothing to get her in it. The thought of not having her, makes my chest ache. I rub over the area close to my heart. I learned a thing or two from my dad. One of them was for us Jones men, when we fall, we fall, fast and hard. He believed in love at first sight, he instilled it in me to never mess with fate, and if you find the one that makes your heart beat, you go after it. That’s exactly what I intend to do.
