Severin’s shoulders tensed, and Minnow had to stop herself from stepping between them to spare him this. She’d pick up the pieces if things went south, but it wasn’t her place to intervene. Not this time.
“Do I know you?” Severin asked.
Minnow could feel the shift in his thoughts as the pennies dropped into place.
The young man cocked his head to the side. “No, I’ve never had the pleasure of making your acquaintance.” There was a hint of madness in his pale blue eyes that was all too familiar. “Mr. Solis, your man of affairs, sent me a letter. I thought it would be more polite to visit, rather than trying to introduce myself in writing.” He cleared his throat. “Forgive my intrusion, Sebastien...pardon...Severin. My name is Loïc Leduc. I’m your little brother.”

red us to write him into this book. He was supposed to be a side character, but quickly became an integral part of the story. The only problem? Rodrigo didn’t realize that neither Sorcha nor Leia spoke Spanish, and apparently online translation tools leave a lot to be desired! Stainless and concrete as far as the eye could see. Between the décor and the music, the owners of Fitte weren’t aiming for a romantic atmosphere, but it held a charm that appealed to Riley anyway. The brutal honesty of the space made her blood buzz with anticipation.
The bass pumping through the speakers throbbed through her body. The music was heavy, dark, growling – a perfect match to the environment and what she was there for.
Riley stood on her tiptoes to reach Jack’s ear. “This place is awesome.”
