“Yeah but I want to know. Does he actually have a sex dungeon?” Becky said back.

Maddie laughed. “No not a dungeon.”

“Oh my god, so he has like some fifty shades room does he?”

Maddie screwed her face not wanting to lie but not wanting to admit it either.

“Fucking hell, I knew it.” Becky gasped.

“Hey you’re with Aidan, you shouldn’t even be interested in Cole.” Maddie quipped.

“I’m not interested in him in that way. He’s hot. He’s fucking gorgeous and this way I can live vicariously through you.” Becky replied grinning.

“No, you bloody can’t besides you’re doing enough living with Aidan. By the looks of it he could absolutely take Cole on in a fight.” Maddie stated.

“Honestly Maddie, he’s incredible but all this drama is making me nervous.” Becky said looking serious then.

“Why?” Maddie asked back.

“I don’t want him thinking this is my life.” Becky replied.

“What do you mean?” Maddie asked confused.

“That it’s all drama, all danger.” Becky stated.

“He’s not stupid.”

“I know but what if he figures out the real me is a geek, a boring data geek.” Becky said.

“Becs he likes you, he isn’t an idiot, he can see that this drama is temporary and I highly doubt he’s going to not enjoy spending time with you when it all dies down.” Maddie stated.

“You really think so?” Becky asked.

“Yeah absolutely. You’re a catch Becs, a real catch and don’t you forget it.”

“Thanks Maddie. So how are things at the office?”

“Weird. It’s so quiet without you. Douglas keeps his head down, I think he’s scared to be honest but he’s not saying it.” Maddie stated.

“What about Brandon and Cole?” Becky asked.

“Does anything ever scare them?” She asked and Becky laughed.

“Do me a favour will you?”

“What?” Maddie asked.

“When I get out of here I want to get back to work as soon as possible. Please convince them I’m okay, that I’m recovered.” Becky half pleaded.

“I don’t think you should rush back, you’ve taken a real battering.” Maddie replied.

“Yeah and I’m healing. Besides my head still works and I don’t just want to sit around twiddling my thumbs while the person that did this is out there.” Becky said back.

“I get that.” Maddie said. “I’ll speak to them and see what I can do but I can’t promise anything.”

“Work your charm Maddie.” Becky said smirking again.

Maddie laughed. “I highly doubt I have any.”

“Not sure Cole would agree with that statement.” Becky retorted and they both laughed. Maddie saw her wince again, grabbing her side.

“I’ll leave you to rest. I only wanted to pop in and check you’re okay. Besides from the looks Aidan was giving you before I walked in if I keep him from you much longer he might just kick my arse again.” Maddie said.

Becky smirked again. “Get me back to work Maddie.” She said and Maddie nodded.

“I’ll do what I can.” She said back.
