“Where Maddie? You can’t go back to your apartment it’s not safe.” He reasoned.

“I’ll stay with Becky for a few days.”

“That’s not necessary.” He sighed.

“I think it is.” She replied before turning and heading up the stairs.

She didn’t pack everything, she just panicked then, throwing what things she could see into a bag while messaging Becky to check it was even okay.

“You’re being stupid. Really stupid.” Cole said behind her and she turned facing him.

“I’m not.” She stated picking up her bags and he went to grab her, to stop her but she yanked her arm out of him grip.

“Don’t.” She said shaking her head, before heading down the stairs and out the door.
