“I had to pull a lot of strings to make this happen.” George stated. “But it’s not every day Cole Black asks me for something that I can actually deliver on.”

“George owed me a favour.” Cole explained and George snorted.

“More than a favour I’d say but I hope we’re quits now.” George said.

“That depends on how good the tour is.” Cole replied and they all laughed.

“In that case we’d better get on with it.” George said gesturing for them to begin.

The island was much bigger than Maddie imagined. They walked slowly, giving Maddie enough time to take it all in while George told them various facts and pointed little known bits out.

They came to a stop right in front of the statue itself, and she stared up at it. It somehow looked greener up close and more majestic than from afar.

“The view is even better from the top.” George said and Maddie grinned like a school kid.

George led them down a side path and unlocked a door.

“I’ll let you two go up alone. Unfortunately there’s no lift, just stairs but it’ll be worth the climb.” He said standing aside so that they could enter. Cole went first and Maddie followed. Their footsteps echoed around them as they slowly began to make their way up to the top.

Maddie winced only slightly feeling the dull ache back in her thigh. She hadn’t been nearly as careful as she knew she needed to be but she buried the thought, not wanting to ruin the moment.

“After you.” Cole said when they reached the top and Maddie stepped out staring through what was essentially Lady Liberty’s crown across the skyline.

“What do you think?” Cole asked and she turned facing him.

“It’s incredible.” She said.

“Was it worth the surprise?” He asked her and she laughed.

“Everything you do is worth the surprise.” She stated.

He pulled her into his arms and brushed the few strands of hair from her face.

“I might remind you of that later.” He said into her ear and she bit her lip before tilting her head so that she could brush her lips against his.

“When we’re back at the hotel or on your jet?” She teased and he narrowed his eyes slightly.

“Do you know what I’d do if he wasn’t downstairs waiting?” He said so quietly she barely heard him.

“You mean there’s something Cole Black won’t do then?” She continued, undoing her coat and opening it slightly so that he could see the plunge of her top and the hardness of her nipples if he chose to look.

“I wouldn’t go that far.” He replied and she smirked stepping back to lean against the glass.

“No? Then what’s stopping you?” She asked seeing his face react instantly as he moved to grab her, wrapping his arms inside her coat and grasping at her arse as he pulled her body tight to his.

“Don’t tempt me Maddie.” He warned and she gasped, teasingly, right into his ear.

“Surely Cole Black’s not scared of being caught by the FBI?” She whispered tauntingly.

His hands were on her jeans before she could even finish her sentence, wrenching them down and then he wrenched his own off.

She groaned as he plunged into her and he moved his hand to stifle it.

“Quiet.” He muttered but his thrusts were making her anything but. She moaned again, and he growled, only slightly and tightened his grip on her mouth even more. She threw her head back against the glass, she could see the skyline, the lights all illuminated around them. Fucking hell, she thought, because he was actually doing it, he was actually fucking her right here, in the damn Statue of Liberty while the New York Director of the FBI was waiting patiently for them both just a few hundred steps away.
