“Fuck off Jamie.” She said through gritted teeth.

He laughed again. “Want to know a secret Mads?”

“What?”

“Cole’s watching this. Right now.” Jamie stated.

“What?” She gasped.

“Say hello to your boyfriend.” He said.

“You fucking bastard.” She snarled.

“He’s going to watch you die Mads. He’s going to watch you slowly suffocate. And then maybe he’ll know what it feels like.”

“What what feels like?” Maddie replied.

“To have everything taken from him.” Jamie said.

“He’s going to kill you.” Maddie snarled.

“Yeah maybe Mads, but you’ll be dead before he gets the chance.” He replied and she heard the tiny click that told her he was gone.

She looked around trying to spot the camera’s but she couldn’t see anything. The corners were too dark to make them out if they were there. Maybe he was taunting her, maybe it was a lie but she hoped to god Cole wasn’t watching. She didn’t want him to see her like this, she didn’t want him to watch her die.

She let out a scream of frustration and then mentally chastised herself. She needed to stay calm, to be calm, she needed to preserve as much oxygen as she could and any sudden movements, anything she did that raised her heartrate only did the exact opposite.

She clenched her fists, shut her eyes, mentally trying to disassociate again.

Cole sat staringat the screen. Forensics had done everything they could to try and trace the source but the connection was being routed through so many VPNs it was impossible to lock down any further.

A day had passed. A whole god damn day and they were no closer to finding her, no closer to finding even a hint of where she was.

He watched as she shifted again. She was clearly in pain and trying to keep herself calm.

And then her whole body froze for a second and her lips started moving.

“Brandon come see this.” Cole yelled watching more closely.

“What is it?” Brandon asked.

“Look at her face. She’s talking.” Cole stated.

Brandon narrowed his eyes. Cole was right she was talking. But to who?

“Get forensics back on it, maybe we can figure out what she’s saying.” Cole said.

“You think she’s trying to send a message, like she did with the Chinese hand thing?”

Cole shrugged. “Maybe. Either way I want to know what she’s trying to say.”

Brandon nodded taking the screen and walking out with it as Cole watched him disappear into the office.

“Brandon.” Thomas said as he walked past.

“What is it?” Brandon said.

“Come see this, another team picked it up from Worcestershire Police…”
