“I don’t think so.” Jamie replied scanning their faces till his eyes fell on Cole. “You’re a little early but I’ve been waiting for you.”

“Waiting to die more like.” Cole retorted.

“Perhaps, but if you’re planning on killing me Cole you might want to wait a little bit, that is if you care for Maddie’s wellbeing at all.”

“Where is she?” Cole growled.

Jamie smirked. “Why don’t you come in, let’s have a little chat.”

“Don’t you fucking dare.” Brandon muttered.

“Come on Cole. Do you want Maddie to live or not?” Jamie taunted him.

Cole shook his head snarling as he stepped forward.

“Cole.” Brandon snapped.

“I’m not a fucking idiot.” Cole hissed at him before walking right out in front of everyone and crossing the few metres between them.

“Talk Jamie, before I rip you limb from limb.” Cole said.

Jamie grinned. “Welcome to my humble abode.” He said holding the door, Cole stepped inside and Jamie shut it quickly behind him.

In one smooth move he placed the tip of his knife into Cole’s back, just under the vest, digging into the left of his spine as he pushed him further inside.

“I’ve been planning this for a while Cole. I couldn’t resist the chance to get my revenge.”

“Revenge for what?” Cole asked looking around, taking in the shabby shit hole of the place that’d clearly not been inhabited in years before Jamie decided to take residence. There were no signs of Maddie, no signs of anything.

“You took everything from me. You took my job, you ruined my life.”

“No Jamie you did that to yourself. You’re a creep, you deserved everything you got.”

“And you deserve everything you’re getting. They’re going to take it all Cole, your empire, your life, everything you’ve worked for, everything you’ve built. It’s all going to fail and there’s nothing you can do to stop them.”

Cole narrowed his eyes as Jamie twisted the blade a bit, knowing it was cutting into Cole’s skin.

“Where is she Jamie?” Cole asked through gritted teeth determined not to make any sound to show he was in pain.

“You know where she is, she’s out there, in the field. Only good luck pinpointing where because there’s over a hundred acres of mud she could be under.”

“And what, you think you can kill me and BlackWater will just let you go?” Cole said.

“Nah, I know I’m a goner Cole. I’m not afraid of dying but there’s one thing I want to do before I go.”

“And what’s that?” Cole asked.

“I want to look into your eyes as you realise all this is your fault.” Jamie stated.

“What is?”

“The Omega Project, the bombing, Maddie being taken, Maddie being raped too. You did that. It’s all on you.”

Cole snarled. “If you touched her.”

Jamie laughed. “Oh don’t worry Cole, Mads and I had a lovely time before I buried her. She really is quite the catch, real feisty. Her body’s even better up close. I can see now why you care so much.”

“I’ll fucking kill you.” Cole spat.
