“She had what can only be described as an unfortunate video leak.” Maddie said delicately and she and Charlotte both sniggered.

“Wait so if Kelsey is your sister then that makes…”

“Yeah.” Maddie said before she could finish her sentence.

“Makes what?” Constance asked looking between them.

“Alfred Lee is her dad.” Charlotte stated and Maddie winced.

“As in the Billionaire Investor?” Hugo said and Maddie nodded.

“I don’t like to talk about it. Like I said he’s not a nice person.” Maddie stated as Cole walked in.

“What is this?” He asked looking between them.

“Relax Cole we’re just talking.” Constance said waving her hand almost dismissively.

“It’s fine. Honestly.” Maddie said. “Ask whatever you want.” She said ignoring the look Cole was giving her.

“How long have you two been together?” Constance asked.

Maddie frowned trying to mentally figure it out. It wasn’t like either of them kept track, did anniversary presents, any of that shit.

“Ten months.” Cole said before she could.

“And you live together in London?” Constance asked.

“Yes. I have an apartment there but I moved in with Cole.” Maddie replied.

“I see.”

“Anything else?” Cole said.

“Do you plan on getting married?” Constance said looking more at her son than Maddie then.

“Pass.” Cole said and Maddie sniggered.

“You need an heir. Someone to inherit this estate after you.” Constance said and Maddie literally felt her stomach drop.

“Look to Charlotte and Brandon for that. I have no interest in having children.” Cole replied standing up.

“And what of Maddie?” Constance said looking pointedly at her. “Surely you want children at some stage?”

“I already answered that.” Maddie said quietly as Cole took her hand.

“Interrogation is over. Why not ask Charlotte about her love life?” Cole stated before leading Maddie out of the room.
