I shake my head to remove the cobwebs that have lodged themselves inside my brain that are keeping me from thinking like a rational adult. “You’re right.” I nod. “We can’t do this.” I drop my feet to the floor, but my belly presses against his hard cock as I steady myself. Why are we fighting this?
He groans and shakes his head. “I can’t keep doing this.”
“Okay.” I blink as the weight of his words presses down on me. Is this the last time I’ll see him? Shit. Tears sting my eyes. The thought of never seeing him again shouldn’t impact me this deeply. But it does.
“I can’t keep spending time with you and not touching you.”
I step back and rub my hands over my leggings. “What do you suggest we do? Do you want to stop seeing me?”
“No.” He shakes his head. “I want to stop pretending that there isn’t something more between us. I know I said this isn’t a good time, and I’m not who you’re looking for, but I can’t ignore that I’m attracted to you. I want to get to know you better.” My heart thunders in my chest as he licks his lips. “I want more. I’ll honor your wishes and not bring it up again if you say no, but I’d like to date you.”
I clutch my chest. As wrong as it is, it’s right. I want to date him, too. “You were right.” I can’t imagine today being the last day I see him. I don’t know where things will go, but I know if I don’t give us a chance, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.
He shoves his hands into his pockets. “About?”
“About not being in control of your emotions. I can’t stop how I feel about you. You aren’t what I was looking for, but what if I was looking for the wrong thing? I enjoy spending time with you. A lot. And I would love to go on a date with you.”
“Where would you like to go?” He smiles a cocky grin. Men. I roll my eyes. They’re so predictable. Now he’s full of himself.
“How do you feel about a neon light foam pool party?”
“Is it at night?” He wraps his arms around my waist, and I snuggle into his embrace.
“How else would we have neon lights?”
“Do I get to swim in the water with you, in the dark, while saving you from killer sharks?”
“Of course.” I giggle and rub my belly into his erection. “I’ll even let you feel me up.”
“Oh, really.” He waggles his eyebrows. “I’m in favor of that. So where is this party, and when is it?”
“It’s at my friend Tara’s house. And it’s tonight.”
“And you can get me an invitation?”
“Of course.” I trail my fingers along his abs and pull up the tail of his T-shirt. “And after, we can come back here.”
He arches an eyebrow. “You want to come back here and work out some more?” Clearly, he’s not following my line of thought. It’s time to throw everything out on the table.
“No.” I shake my head and slide my palm along his muscles. His sharp intake of breath feeds my confidence that it won’t take much to get him to follow my line of thought. “I’ve always wanted to have sex in front of the mirrors.”
“I see,” he growls, as he drops his mouth to my ear. “When does class start?”
“Fifteen minutes.”
“That’s a shame.” He hooks my leg around my waist and rocks into my core as he lifts my shirt to expose my flesh. “It would only take me five minutes to have you begging to come.”
“Two.”
“Two?” His nostrils flare as he slips his hand between my leggings and my stomach, lowering until he reaches my clit. “Do you want to wager for one?”
“Yes.” I nod and adjust my stance to give him more access to my sex. “I bet you can make me come in one minute.”
He laughs. “That’s not the wager I was aiming for, but I’ll take it.” His finger slips between my wet lips and slides into the desire pooling there just from kissing him. “I like that you’re greedy.”
“It’s been a while.” I stare into his eyes as he lunges into my core. Oh, God. I suck in a deep breath.
“I like that even better. I want you wet and begging for only me.” He twists his hand inside of my leggings and lunges two fingers into my sex while brushing his thumb over my aching clit.
