“Don’t say that,” I groan.

“Ohhh, I know what’s going on,” she says with a smile as she pours herself a coffee. She sits down at the table with me and gives me that look, like we’re girlfriends and I can’t hide a thing from her.

“Mom, don’t—”

“You’re in l-o-v-e love,” she says.

I groan and slump forward on the table.

“Who’s in love?” I hear my dad say as he comes into the kitchen.

“No one!” I say loudly as I quickly stand up and bring my bowl to the sink. “Mom’s just messing with me.”

“It’s not that Trent kid, is it?” my dad asks suspiciously. “Because I know guys like him. They’re bad news.”

Just the thought of Trent having his hands on me like Coach did last night makes my stomach twist. My mom’s right; I was up all night thinking about Coach and just how close we got to sealing the deal before his mom showed up.

Yeah, apparently Coach’s mom is a little cuckoo crazy and likes to just drop in from time to time when she needs help with things. He didn’t want to go into too much detail, which I can understand. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have a parent like that. Thankfully, other than apparently loving to torment me about my love life, my parents are great people.

“Captain of the soccer team?” my mom asks, raising an eyebrow. “I dunno, that would be a big change for Daisy. I’m all for it.”

“Fuck no!” my dad bellows, causing us both to laugh. “That prick’s got one thing on his mind, and that’s hit-it-and-quit-it!”

“Peter!” my mom snaps, trying not to laugh. “Stop!”

“Hey, I know boys! I was one once, if you can believe that. And marriage is the farthest thing from that little whipper-snapper’s mind.”

“Well, she doesn’t have to get married now,” my mom says. “Right, Daisy?”

I look back at her as I grab my bag. “I dunno, ma. But I have been feeling like I’m ready to get pregnant lately.”

She gasps as I jump out the door and race out to the sidewalk where Brenda’s waiting for me in her car. I hop in and she drives off.

“What happened to you last night?” she asks immediately.

“Ugh, what?”

“You’re…glowing,” she replies.

“Glowing? Shut up.”

“You are. Isn’t she, Aubrey?”

Aubrey nods from the backseat. “Glowing.”

“Did you get a new vibrator or something?” Brenda asks. “Catch a Big-O before school?”

“Ew, no!” I protest. I’ve never even owned a…vibrator, let alone replaced an old one with a new one. In fact, until last night, I never even really…pleasured myself. But after the huge girl-blue-balls I had last night after Coach dropped me off, I had to do what I had to do.

“Then what?” she asks. “Did Trent sneak over last night? Climb in through your window?”

“Ew, stop.”

“Daisy wouldn’t do that, Brenda,” Aubrey says happily. “She’s a good girl.”

If only you knew…

“Speaking of Trent,” Brenda says as we pull into the school parking lot. “How about that new coach? What’s his name?”
